Pat arrived at the Saturday morning briefing with only a minute to spare. He’d had to skip his morning coffee to make it, after catching a later bus than he’d planned when the seven-fifteen bus hadn’t arrived at all. Driver shortage due to Covid was the excuse the driver of the seven-thirty bus had given him. And, it looked like Covid had hit a few more members of the team, going by the number of officers in the incident room.
‘DS Travers has had some luck speaking to the parents of the children at Ella’s kindergarten,’ said DI Ryan. ‘We may have a possible link between the anti-vaxxers and our victim. The parents of Mia King, Robbie and Tessa King. Apparently both have been stood down from their employment for refusing to be vaccinated.’
