Chapter 19Devante had had a boyfriend for less than two weeks when said boyfriend kissed him goodbye and got in a cab for the airport, to fly to Windsor, Canada, for the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final.
The Friend Group gathered at Charlie’s to watch this time, Mike begging off hosting due to a busy crabs schedule and therefore no time to clean his apartment. Charlie didn’t have cable, but he did have a TV, and he did something clever with a bunch of cables and a set of Bluetooth speakers to get the NBC coverage to play on the bigger screen. Preeda provided the drinks, four sizable bottles of red wine, and Natasha brought four boxes of microwave popcorn.
“You ready to see your man, Dev?” Charlie asked, nudging him with his shoulder.
“Always,” Devante said distractedly, not looking up
