Chapter 1: He's Bored
Upon his return to the country, Ji Sihan was immediately taken to Mansion No. 8, where his secret lover, Shu Wan, was promptly fetched.
There was a faint scent of perfume and powder in the air. Abiding strictly by his preferences, she thoroughly cleaned herself before changing into a silk nightgown and heading to the bedroom on the second floor. The man was sitting in front of the computer dealing with business matters. When he saw her come in, he gave her a brief glance. "Come here."
His voice was cold, devoid of any emotion, weighing heavily on Shu Wan's heart, making her feel burdened and oppressed. He was always aloof and unpredictable, and she feared his anger, so she didn't dare delay for a moment and quickly walked over to him. Even before she could stand still, Ji Sihan pulled her into his arms, his long fingers pinching her chin. He leaned down, kissing her red lips fiercely, forcefully parting them. Ji Sihan never liked to talk much to her, nor was he affectionate. Whenever he saw her, it was just about doing what they did.
He appeared noble and reserved, but in such matters,
he had been away on a business trip abroad for three months this time, and it was unlikely that he would let her off easily tonight. As she had anticipated, when she woke up, the spot beside her was empty, but the sound of water could be heard coming from the bathroom.
Following the sound, she saw a tall figure reflected on the frosted glass. Shu Wan was a little surprised; he always left immediately after, never waiting for her to wake up. Why didn't he leave this time?
She struggled to sit up, her body weak, and patiently waited for the man to come out. A few minutes later, the sound of water from the bathroom suddenly stopped, and the man walked out wrapped in a towel. Water droplets from his hair fell onto his honey-colored skin, sliding slowly down his abdominal muscles, the firm and rugged lines exuding a fatal allure. His face was exquisitely handsome, with sharp features, and his peach blossom eyes were indifferent and obscure. He looked very good, but the chilly aura emanating from his entire body made people wary of approaching him easily.
Seeing her awake, Ji Sihan, with his cold gaze, glanced at her. "From now on, you don't need to come anymore."
Shu Wan was stunned for a moment. What did he mean by not needing to come? Ji Sihan withdrew his gaze from her, turned around, and took out a document, handing it to her. "This contract is terminated in advance."
Seeing that lover's agreement, Shu Wan finally reacted. Ji Sihan wanted to end their relationship. It turned out that he didn't stay this time, not because he was reluctant to leave her, but because he wanted to break up. She had thought about this day after following him for five years, but she didn't expect it to end like this. There were no reasons, no extra explanations, just a direct notice. She suppressed the pain in her heart, slowly raised her head, and looked at Ji Sihan who was dressing. "There's only half a year left on the contract. Can't we wait a little longer?"
The doctor said she had three months left, and she wanted to accompany him until her life ended. Ji Sihan didn't respond, just looked at her with cold eyes, without any attachment, as if he was getting rid of an old toy. His silence made Shu Wan realize her own situation.
She took the contract, pretending to be casual, raised her lips and smiled gently. "Don't be so serious. I'm joking." She added, "I don't want to be with you anymore. Now that the contract is terminated early, I'm happy."
Ji Sihan paused slightly as he rolled up his shirt sleeves. He raised his cold eyes and looked at Shu Wan.
Seeing that there was no sadness on her face, but a hidden excitement, it seemed that for her, this was a kind of relief.
His eyebrows furrowed lightly, and he asked in a low voice, "You haven't wanted to be with me for a long time?" Shu Wan nodded casually. "Yes, I'm 23 years old now. It's time to get married and have children. I can't keep following you without a name or status. She propped up her weak body from the bed and sat up: quietly and obediently, waiting for the man to come out. A few minutes later, the sound of water in the bathroom stopped abruptly, and the man walked out wrapped in a bath towel. Water droplets from his hair fell on the dark-colored skin, slowly sliding down to his abdominal muscles. The firm and rugged lines were so tempting. A beautiful and exquisite face, as sharp as a knife, with distinct angles and corners, and peach blossom eyes, indifferent and obscure. The man looked very good, but the chilly aura emanating from his entire body made people wary of approaching him easily. Ji Sihan saw her awake, his eyes were emotionless, and he looked at her coldly for a moment before picking up the Blancpain watch placed on the bedside table and turning to leave. "Do as you wish." These were his parting words.
It seems... he's really tired of playing.
