Going to Work
Rene had spent a full day in the horrible cage in the cell deep below the Schloss. On the evening of the first twenty-four hours, an attendant opened the cell door and stepped into the small box-like room. Rene was beyond caring, but she was aware of the visitor and wondered what horror was now in store for her. The cage top was opened, and the guard unlocked Rene’s chain gag. In spite of this single release, Rene wasn’t able to move more than a fraction of an inch or so while the guard removed the chain gag, prided open her mouth, and stuffed a fat rubber plug into it.
