Sure enough, at 10 pm, everyone starts showing up. So, many people kept coming up to me and hugging me and telling me they couldn't believe it was all an act and how brave I was. I was trying so hard to keep it all together. Of course, when the OMG girls saw Jason, they were drooling and begging me to fix one of them up with him. I just called Jason over and introduced them to him, and the poor boy left him alone with them. As I walked away, Noah walked up to me and raised his eyebrow at me and said "seriously Elle, you know I told him about those girls" I smiled I know he told me he also told me I could leave him with them if I needed an escape anytime during the night so..." Noah just shook his head and said well it looks like all the usual suspects are here so you ready because I can't wait any longer. Plus I am getting sick of people asking me if part of the reason you are wearing those gloves is because of that asshat." I smile up at him and say yeah, let's do this.
Noah turned off the music and yelled, hey, can I have everyone's attention, please. I don't think I had ever heard it so quiet a pin would drop at any party our school has ever thrown. I guess it is the Flynn effect. Noah spoke loud and clear at this point, holding my left hand.
"I fell madly in love with a girl. I thought I could never have because I thought she had stolen my brother's heart as well. I did the one thing I thought would help me forget her, which was date as many girls as possible until I found the one but that didn't help. What also didn't help things was catching her watching me or watching her grow more beautiful every day or our constant teasing back and forth she never let me have my way. I especially hated seeing all the guys that started noticing her and wanted her attention. I was sure I was really lost then. Until one fateful night, a practical joke played right into my hands and a boy I never paid much attention to allow me to cut in line while the girl of my dreams was thrust in center stage at a kissing booth she was never supposed to be a part of. The moment I kissed her, I knew I was kidding myself there could never be anyone for me but her. As fate would have it again, my little brother found the love of his life that night, and I knew I just might get my chance. Unfortunately, things have not been easy, but we are finally together. After everything I knew I couldn't wait a moment longer so, I asked Miss Rochelle Evans to be my wife, and she said Yes" at that moment Noah lifted up my hand-pulled off my glove to show off my ring.
