I frowned into my drink. How the hell had he found us so quickly, we had lost our “Escort” several blocks away.
“Son of a b***h” Lily was muttering as Steffanos shadow briefly blotted out the low over headlights. “Well fancy seeing you here ladies” His voice was teasing.
”How did you find us so quickly” Lily was studying him, her face lifted to his. Mine? I kept mine firmly down. I stared at her across the table.
Was that glimmer I saw in her eyes. I hoped so. Though after what I saw today maybe Steffano wasn’t exactly the right person to spark her back to her old self. Then again maybe I was being selfish.
