chapter 8 : " Are you ok? "

(In the washroom)

After crying for sometime Lily washed her face and fixed herself to meet Rowan

But before she could leave she looked into the mirror and tried smiling

"U know love , before u would always see through my fake smiles but now I doubt that cause this world made me learn fakeness" She touches the reflection on the mirror and a tear falls off from her eyes but she quickly wipes it and goes to look after Rowan.

She opens the nursery door and See's Rowan still sleeping she goes to wake him up

"Rowan wake up baby " She gently tries to wake him but as soon as she touches him her body gets goose bumps she feels him cold she quickly picks him up and without a second thought she runs to the doctor

As soon as she reaches to the doctor she shows him to doctor to check. The doctor immediately orders her to take him to the emergency ward to Operate on him

"No no no Rowan don't die not so soon please live please " This is all she thinks when doctor was still operating on Rowan

After some time Lily felt someone sitting beside her and wiping her tears that were falling without her knowing. She looks at the person and her eyes widen "Lucas" She mumbles without him knowing and looks at him with teary eyes and then looks down without saying anything.

"Ahem ahem (clears throat) Do you know nurse lily here" Lucas says looking to her like she was a stranger "let me tell u a secret she is the most caring woman here and the strongest one too but today she was crying do you know why.... " Said Lucas like he wasn't talking to her but a someone he knows.

Liliy smiled a little and looked at him "I am sorry Mr Lucas I disturbed you I really didn't mean to I am sorry she looked down biting her lips trying to control her tears.

"Why r u sorry u remember u were there when I was upset over my friend so take it as a thanks from me" Said Lucas like it was nothing for him

There was an awkward silence between both for sometime but Lucas broke it by saying "so why we're you crying ? ".

Lily looked at him , sighed and said " You see there is a boy having an operation inside I am very close to him he has no one " sighs" I went to wake him up but he was not responding and cold... " As she couldn't say anymore she cried and Lucas just patted her back and said " Don't worry lily he will be alright I am sure he is a strong boy"

After some time the OT door opened and the doctor came out and looked at lily and said dramatically "whoa I didn't know the most dangerous girl in our faculty will cry over a Five year old boy wow this is unbelievable let me take a picture right nurse Nina" Says to other nurse behind him and both laugh.

Lily rolled her eyes and said " Are u done doctor..How is Rowan? is he alright? "

"Here we go again the cold Lily and yeah Rowan is ok now..."the doctor replies sarcastically and then again says but seriously " But he needs plenty of rest and if this happens again I am afraid he can't make it u Know it's going worse and we can't do anything if he doesn't get operation soon... "

Lily just looks down and starts tearing up as she knows she was helpless for him even if she worked day and night she can't get him operated.

As soon as she turned she fell into someones arms and it was Lucas

Lucas took her in his arms and took her in garden and made her sit on the bench all this time Lily was looking at Lucas .

And when he put her down on the bench he asked " Are you ok ? "
