“We are sorry that we missed judged you Kenzie. Please forgive us and let us help you in this time of need. All I ask is that you help me get my son back.” Colt pleaded with Kenzie

“There is nothing to forgive. I am honored that you were good to my parents in their time. I will help you get your son and accept your help, I think it’s what they mean us to do. We are all meant to stand against my Aunt. She needs the know the people will not stand for her evil ways.” Kenzie announced to everyone in the room. The room went up in cheers and everyone was smiling and ready to come up with a game plan.

“Colt where was the last place your son was before they took him?” Kenzie asked him

“He was just a two-hour ride from here. Why do you ask?” Colt was wondering

“I want to see if any of my people can get a feel for what happens and someone has overlooked. This way we all can be on the same page. So let’s head there now.” Kenzie walked out of the conference room and headed to the rent a car center. She got two SUVs to hold everyone. Colt took the lead car with his men and Scott and Dusty. While the rest went with Kenzie in the second car. They drove for two hours and came to this little village by a river. Everyone gets out and looks around. Colt walks over to an old native looking man and talks with him about us being here. The man walks up to Kenzie and looks at her with pride.

“My name is Jared and I am chief of these people. I welcome you, Queen Kenzie. I knew you would come soon. I knew that you would have questions and want to know many things. I also know that you are more powerful than anyone could have foreseen. Please look around and then come see me I have the information you have been waiting for.” Then Jared walked away to let them do what they came for.

“That was weird. Kenzie what do you think he was talking about?” Adam asked her

“Adam if you haven’t noticed he was also their Shamen. He would be what he calls a wizard or seer. I am not sure what information but I plan on finding out once we have searched the area.” Kenzie said to Adam as she walked toward the river.

Adam wondered what Kenzie was looking for. As far as he could see there was nothing to find here, Then he has seen Kenzie bend down to pick something up. So Adam walks over to see what Kenzie has found.

“What did you find Kenzie?” Adam asked.

“I’m not sure, but it looks like a tooth or something,” Kenzie replied while looking over what she found.

Kenzie put what she found in her pocket and continued to look around for more clues. Then she heard a scream and went running towards the scream. When she gets to where she heard the scream she sees Erika pinned up against a tree scared out of her mind because of croc shifter is in front of her. Everyone is shocked to see a croc shifter they thought they were long gone from here. Kenzie then knew it was a croc shifter tooth she found, and she wanted to see what this one knew.

“What’s your name and why do you have my friend pinned to that tree?” Kenzie asked calmly

“They told me to take any shifter that comes to this river to my Queen.” Croc man said while still looking at Erika

“Who is your Queen?” Kenzie asked him while sauntering to him

“She is Queen Tammy and wants more soldiers and servants.” Croc man replied

“Well, I’m sorry you will have to disappoint her this time around. You see my friend will go nowhere with you. But I am happy to take you with me.” Kenzie said then zapped him with some magic and he fell to the ground. The others grabbed him and tied him up and took him to the village. Then she went to Erika to make sure she was all right. Once it got confirmed that Erika is fine, Kenzie went to go talk with the croc man.

“What is your name?” Kenzie demand

“I don’t have to tell you.” Croc man replied

“Have you not figured out I can make you tell me whatever I want to know?” Kenzie looked at him with a smirk on her face.

“No one has that kind of power but my Queen.”

“She is not the true Queen unless you serve evil,”

“She will kill me if I say anything to anyone.”

“I will let no one hurt you. I need information and I would rather you give it freely instead of making me hurt you and take the information from you,”

“My name is Bruce, and she took me and my brother and hide us from everyone for twenty-one-year. We were four then and my family was the last of the croc shifters. She killed my parents and took me and my twin brother. Everyone thought the croc shifters was long gone. She made sure of that. She said that we were hers now and that she will help us bring back the croc shifters if we did her bidding. So we followed orders until you captured me. My brother is somewhere close by and will try to free me.” Bruce explained some of his stories

“Thank you for sharing that information. The Queen that you are serving is my Aunt, and she serves the evil one. She wants to have all shifters under her rule and live in darkness. She doesn’t want to rule fairly or have peace in the land. I will stop her. You can join me or I let you get killed by her because I will let you go back empty-handed.” Kenzie told Bruce flat out.

“Let’s get my brother here and then he and I can talk about what is best for us. I think I would like to help you guys. You seem much nicer than what we are into right now.” Bruce said to her and linked to his brother to come out and talk to these people. That it’s safer here than where we were. The next thing anyone knew there was a man walking towards everyone from the river. Everyone was on high alert because no one knew of the croc shifters anymore. So no one could say what they would do or couldn’t do. Kenzie knew what they were capable of when they were together and she wanted to see if they would stick to their word or try to betray her. She wasn’t sure how she knew all of this but it was all just coming to her, the knowledge of all the supernaturals and the area she was in. It just appeared in her mind. She told no one that this was happening to her just yet. Just because she was still getting the feel.

“Let my brother go, or I will be the force to do something you will regret.” The new croc shifter said to them all.

“I think you better just calm down before you hurt yourself,” Kenzie responded to him

“Little girl what do you think you will do?” He asked her

Kenzie didn’t respond with words. She just showed him what she could do to him and knocked him on his ass from where she stood. All she did was move her wrist and thought what she needed to do and it happened. The next thing she knew he was on his ass. The guy was looking up from the ground at her with fear and confusion.

“Don’t hurt him Kenzie. Please, he is all I have left. I will talk to him.” Bruce begged her

“Kevin, stop they will not hurt us. I was being let go when you started your crap. Why can’t you just listen for once and try things my way instead of always trying to fight first?” Bruce asked him with sadness in his eyes.

“It easier that way. No one is here to help anymore. Fight if you want your freedom.” Kevin replied

“No, Kevin that is not true. I’m here to help and I know the pain you must feel losing your parents and not getting your time with them. She took yours and mine, let me help you now so we can both be free of this pain.” Kenzie tried to explain so he would understand

“What would you know? How can you help us? She is the Queen, you can’t go against her.” Kevin replied

“She is only a queen of evil, not the true Queen of the supernatural world. They do not mean her to rule this kingdom. I can help more than you know. with my friends and everyone who bands together against her, she can’t win. We will heal the land again. Join us Kevin with your brother and let’s stop her.” Kenzie asked but yet pleaded with him to understand.

“If you can really help us, I would like to be free of her. I would like to have a family again.” Kevin stated.

“Good, come over and meet everyone. Please let Bruce go so he can be with his brother and the rest of us.” Kenzie told a few people, and they did what someone told them.

Everyone walked back to the little village and talked about what still needed to get done. Then Kenzie got up and found the chief of the village asked if he was ready to talk with her. He leads her to a small tent and gestured her inside.

“Kenzie I know you have been coming into some of your powers. They are new to you and you're not sure how or why you can do those things. Your mother was an Antediluvian and so are you. it means you will have great power it only came from one of your grandparents because they broke tradition and married outside the family because the mate bond pulled them to their mates. You are a hybrid of two powerful families and it only adds to your power. I want to help guide you when I can and where I can. You can train with me and I will show you the correct path to take.” the Chief told her.

“I would like that. I could use some guides here. I feel a little out of whack with all of this. It’s hard to explain to people who can’t feel what I feel. It’s hard to show people because I don’t want them scared of me for what I can do. You knew my mother, and she trusted you to help her and my father. I can only continue to go where they seem to lead me and get the help they are showing me that is out there.” Kenzie

Once they finish talking, they joined the group so they could have dinner and figure out their next place to go.

“Kevin, Bruce do either of you remember a wolf prince named Tim?” Kenzie asked them to see if they took them to Tammy.

“No, he never came to the river. He was here in the village but a dragon took him before he made it to the river.” Bruce told her

“Dragons, are usually an honorable creature. They rarely take people.” Adam said

“We know nothing else. He took him and flew towards the south.” Kevin said

“Then that is where we need to head towards,” Colt stated.

“I agree with Colt. We need to head to the south so we can find his son. I gave my word.” Kenzie told everyone

They all shook their heads, and they went to where they would sleep for the night so they could get an early start.
