The doctor came out and went straight to Kenzie. “We can take it out of his brain and we also found one in his arm. Do you want that one to come out as well?” The doctor asked

“Yes, take them both out. Do it as fast as you can and as safe as you can.” Kenzie replied

“Then we will need the devices so we can do tests on them,” Adam added in

“Understood,” The doctor said then he walked off to start the surgery on Brian.

“Ok, we can all go to the hotel now and get some rest and something to eat. The hospital will call me when they are done.” Kenzie announced

Everyone went their separate ways and go relax for a little while. Kenzie will tell them when they are needed. Adam and Plato were waiting on Kenzie to leave with her. Kenzie looks at them both and with a look tells them she ready to leave now. They head to the hotel and get their rooms and then they go to dinner. Just as they are about to eat Kenzie gets a phone call.

“Kenzie this is the hospital. He is out of surgery and now in recovery. You will see him in the morning.” The nurse says

“Thank you. I will be there in the morning then.” Kenzie replies and hangs up

“What was that about?” Adam asked

“Telling me that Brian is out of surgery and in recovery that we can see him tomorrow,” Kenzie said.

“Now that is good news. So what do you guys want to do now since it is still early?” Plato asked

“I don’t know. What is there to do?” Adam asked back

“Why don’t we go to the movies?” Kenzie suggested

“What do you think is playing right now?” Plato was wondering

“Let’s check and see what is good,” Adam replied

The three of them started to look to see if there was anything good playing at the theaters, but so far they were coming up short.

“Looks like we may have to do something else,” Adam said

“I say we get some junk food and go to the room to watch movies there,” Plato suggested

“Sounds good to me,” Kenzie said, and they walked off to get the food and head to one room to watch movies and just relax. She knew she would have to get to the hospital early to talk to him so she could take the next step, then leave for her parents’ home. She wanted to hear where she would have grown up if things could have been different. They watch three movies before they all headed to bed to get up in the morning to go see Brian. They are awakened by Kenzie screaming in her sleep. She was having a nightmare that must have scared her or something, but when they could wake her from the dream she had marks on her arm like she was fighting something in her dream., but was real at the same time. None of them could believe that the marks that were made in the dream was on her and bleeding like they were just done.

“How can this be possible?” Plato asked

“I’m not sure, I didn’t think it was,” Adam said

“It’s because I was dreaming but yet I went to her controlled another realm. So they attacked me when I tried to talk to my aunt. I won the fight but not without a few battles scars. Get the first aid kit so we can clean my arm up.” Kenzie told them

Once they had her cleaned up, and she got her something to drink she laid back down and tried to go back to sleep. The guys stayed in the living room trying to figure out if one needed to stay awake to keep an eye on her or not. She got back up and talked with them.

“Guys you don’t have to stay awake to keep an eye on me. I can always link you in my sleep and you could get pulled into my dreams. That is the only reason I don’t keep the link open when I sleep. I am never sure what will happen when I sleep. That is when my guards are done all the time I haven’t learned how to put permanent wards up in my mind for even when I sleep so I can protect myself that way.” Kenzie explained to them as best as she could.

“I want you to keep me mind-linked with you at all times. No matter what. I will go through it all with you.” Adam told her

“Do the same with me. We are stronger when all three of us are together. It is easier to take us down if it divides us.” Plato stated

“Your right Plato. I never really looked at it that way. Thank you” Kenzie replied

They went back to sleep with the mind link open between them, not sure what to expect. They were at peace for the rest of the night. They woke to head to the hospital to talk with Brian to see how it felt and to make sure he could be trusted now. If all went well, he would head to Indiana to meet up with Adam’s brothers. Where they could help him with both animals and be kept an eye on. Once they get to the hospital, they see Brian is up moving around and seems to have healed fine.

“Brian, how are you feeling?” Kenzie asked

“Much better thank you” Brian replied

“Can I check you know to see for myself and to make sure we both are on the same page?” Kenzie asked

“Yes, I want to help and take back the life that she took. I want to use both my animals, you said your friends could help me. Is that still going to happen?” Brian asked with a little hesitation

“Yes, my friends with still helping you. I just need to make sure you're not a danger to anyone.” Kenzie explained

“Ok, just checking. Go ahead then.” Brian said

Kenzie was doing her checks, Adam and Plato could also see what she was doing through the mind link. It was different to them but interesting. Once done she gave the okay and let Adam talk with Brian.

“Brian, I have let my brothers know that you will fly in to meet them at the airport, they will take you to my house where they will help you and train you. Once you have been trained and pass the test they have set up, you will then stay there and follow ShaSha’s orders while Kenzie and I are not there. Do you understand?” Adam explained everything they wanted to make sure he understood.

“Yes, and thank you for all that you guys are doing. When do I leave?” Brian asked

“You will leave within two hours,” Plato replied

They got Brian ready to leave for the airport. They got him some new clothes and stuff to take with him. They let him know that Adam’s brother Trent will pick him up at the airport. Then will help him get the rest of the things he will need. Then he will go from there. Once that was all taken care of they took him to the airport and put him on the plane to head to Indiana. They just hoped everything is ok there, Kenzie will need to call ShaSha soon.

“Kenzie let’s go out on a date tonight. We leave in the morning and Plato can handle everything while we are gone for a few hours.” Adam told her

“That sounds nice. We haven’t had time to do that in a while. Let’s go back to the hotel and take a nap then we can have a date.” Kenzie replied

They all went back to the hotel and took a nap. Plato opted to go do some laps in the hotel pool instead. When he was done he came and took a shower then woke the others up so they could get ready. Then Adam let her in the car then walked around to get into the car to take her out to show her a good time. He backed out of the parking space and headed for the Tasting Counter. He just wanted some alone time with her. They haven’t had that in a long time and they both needed it. They arrived at the restaurant and he walked around to the passenger side of the car to open the door for her. He opened her door and held out his hand for her so he could help her out of the car. She reached out and grabbed his hand and let him help her out of the car. He kept her hand in his while they walked to the door to the restaurant. He held the door open for her to walk in and put his hand on the small of her back as they walked up to the Hostess.

“How did you find this place?” Kenzie asked him

“I googled it to see where I could take you,” Adam replied

“I know with everything going on we have had little time to ourselves. We haven’t had time to talk about us. I am sorry for that. I am just trying to do my best” Kenzie felt like she had to explain

“I understand Kenzie. We will get through this. I love you and I will stand beside you on this and anything else we have to face.” Adam said

“Thank you and I love you too,” Kenzie replied

They both had a good time talking and laughing until it was time to head back. They felt connected again and refreshed in their relationship again. They knew they just needed to work together more and to always remember that they are one. They arrived back at the hotel and was walking back to their room. She was about to step through the door when she felt him turn her around a plant a kiss on her she had never felt or ever think she would again. When she caught her breath and opened her eyes, and could see that it affected him. Then they walked into their room together. They changed out of their clothes and got ready for bed; they cuddled up with each other and was asleep before they knew it. They were working up to the smell of food in their hotel room; they got up and dressed walked out to the living room to see Plato theirs with food waiting for them. She knew she must have overslept. They all hurried at their breakfast and headed to the airport where everyone was waiting on them. They all boarded the plane and took their seats to get ready to head to their destination of Kenzie’s homeland. They land in a small clearing just outside a wooded area. On one of the darkest nights, the moon is full there’s not a noise to be heard for miles. Walking down the road I can’t see 5 feet in front of me because that is how dark it is tonight the only light that we have is from the moon and it’s behind a tree. I was wondering if we could find a house in all this darkness. Then I hear one of my grandfathers yell that it is just two miles up the pathway on foot or a half hour drive around the woods to the driveway.

“Can we get some cars and drive there, please? I don’t feel enjoy walking in the dark right now.” Kenzie yelled

“Let’s find a place that we can rent a few cars and bring them back later,” Adam said

So he and Plato walked off to go get some cars while everyone was getting their things off the plane. He knew they needed to hurry before Kenzie did something we all would regret like her walking there.
