The dark-haired maid quickly looked down upon meeting my eyes and bent down to clean the plates she dropped. Frantically she said, "I-I'm sorry Miss, it's just that the doctor said you'd be sleeping for a few more days. You did hit your head quite badly in the fall after all. If I had known you'd be awake, I would have sent the Head Maid."
In a quiet voice, she mumbled, "Good job Felicity, you managed to make the young Miss angry, and you haven't even been in the room for that long. Stupid! Stupid! Stup-"
"Excuse me," seeing her clicking her own forehead, and myself being thoroughly confused, I couldn't help but interrupt. The maid- Felicity was it- looked up in surprised. Before she could say anything, I continued. "I'm sorry, but it looks like I can't remember anything."
I had thought of my options, but there was no way I could fake being the owner of this body. Pretending would have been a great pain as well. The best option was to pretend to have amnesia and using that as an excuse to gather information about this world before proceeding.
Felicity stared at me for a long while before realizing her actions were a bit rude. She quickly stood up, in the process dropping the plates again, and said, "I'll get the doctor right away." With those words, she quickly ran out of the room.
I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. I had thought that after dying, my soul would have been left alone to a dark void. Who knew that God would give me the worst punishment for taking the actions that I did? A second chance at life. I laughed sarcastically in the empty room. Well, then I will greatly appreciate this opportunity. This time I was determined to not lose everything.
Sitting on the bed, I waited until Felicity came back with the doctor. Now I just needed to play this amnesia route right...

"Follow the light with your eyes please," Doctor Fremont told me. How peculiar. This world shouldn't have any electricity, yet light is coming out of the object. I obeyed, looking left and right as the bright stick moved.
Looking satisfied, the Doctor lowered his head. He turned around to face people I presume to be my parents, based on the worried looks they were giving me. Both beautiful people, it looks like I had inherited my blonde locks from my mother, and blue eyes from my father. Looking at his arm around her waist, they looked like a couple from a portrait.
"Mom, can I have seconds," I lifted my empty plate to her face, mustering my best puppy dog eyes. My mother, a typical Japanese housewife only sighed in response before spooning another serving of curry to my plate.
"Aren't you scared you'll get fat? I thought teenage girls these days barely eat," she said. I laughed as I ate my mother's cooking.
"It's because your curry is too delicious," as I put another spoonful into my mouth, I moaned. My mom shook her head, sighing at my antics. Beside me, my father laughed. Even though he was a busy man, he always made it home to enjoy dinner with his family. A plain Japanese man, he always worked his hardest.
"Ayano is right. Honey's cooking is way too delicious to not have seconds!" Saying this, he also lifted up his plate. We all laughed in response.
"It doesn't look like she has any serious injuries. However, the brain is a complicated part. It looks like she has triggered something that has caused memory loss." Pulled out of my memory, I focused only my doctor's words.
My parents looked at me in shock. "Me-memory loss?" My mother asked. She quickly ran over and put her arms around me. Startled, I could only stay still like a statue.
"How could this happen to my child? Camille, look at me, do you remember your mother?" She looked at me tearfully. Feeling a little uncomfortable, I could only shake my head. At that point, my mother started to sob. My father quickly came to her side, patting her shoulder.
The doctor continued. "Full blown memory loss is quite rare. Usually, in incidents like these, only the memories surrounding a traumatic event is forgotten. Unfortunately, all of Miss. Camille's memories have been forgotten." He could only bow his head in apology at not being able to do anything.
Suddenly, my mother stood up. "This is all that girl Alice's fault! If she hadn't bothered my daughter, this wouldn't have happened!" She exclaimed with a ruthless glare. With a worried look, my father tried to comfort her.
"Even that young girl was injured in the incident as well, dear. We shouldn't be too angry," he said rubbing circles around her back. Sighing in defeat, my father reached down to my face. "What about you sweetheart? Can you remember anything?"
Sighing internally at finally being acknowledged, I gave my best face of innocence. "I can't remember anything. I'm sorry but, who am I? Where am I? What happened?"
Seeing my response, my mother could only cry further. Seeing that it was up to him, my father explained to me. "You're name is Camille Calvert. You belong to the Calvert house. I am Duke Calvert, and we reside in the country of Aureal. A few days ago, an accident happened in which you fell down the stairs at the Academy, hitting your head. You have been in a coma for a few days."
Author's Note: Yay, a longer chapter! No idea if this is considered as a long chapter, but I tried. Since it's winter break, hopefully, I can write a little more. Hope you guys are enjoying how the story is progressing. No idea what I am doing.
