"Miss, we're here," Felicity called out to me from outside the carriage. It was quite peculiar. Although this world differed much from my previous one, much remained the same. Although modern-day-me has never been on a carriage, it was the optimal source of transportation in the 1800s. But it was quite ineffective. Many nobles, it seemed, lived around me and their children would also use a carriage to move about, causing a bit of traffic. The Academy seemed to be less than 20 minutes by foot, yet it took about 45 minutes to get there.
I sighed, patting down my uniform, unfortunately, another long, flowy dress that I so dreaded. I was even forced into a corset and all I wanted was to rip everything off and change into a t-shirt and sweatpants. Though I think, judging by my current parents, that I would be quickly labeled as insane if I did that.
The dress I was currently wearing was light blue, made of an amazingly soft cotton, with a few intricate details such as frills. It was something I could have never afford in my old life, nevermind wearing. Though it was beautiful, it made it difficult move about.
I opened the tiny window next to me, taking a look at the school. The sight silenced everything in me. It was a building I only ever imagined to see on TV, never in real life. It was ginormous, to say the least. Instead of a school, it looked like an old style Palace. The architecture was beautiful, and there were even gargoyles as decoration. Wait, was that a fountain made of gold? The 'school' seemed like it went one forever, made for kings and queens. I gaped with my mouth opened, not knowing what to say until Felicity finally shook me.
"Miss? We should be heading in now."
"Huh? Oh, yeah, of course," Felicity helped me out of the carriage, which was actually good cause I most likely would have fallen and died in this dress. Other students were also heading towards the building, leaving behind their servants. However, footsteps followed me.
"... Felicity?"
"Yes, Miss," Felicity answered behind me, looking nonchalant.
"Why are you following me?" I turned to her.
Felicity gave me a look that resembled a puppy and replied, "But I can help you, Miss!"
"Felicity, this is an order. Go home." With that, I spun back around and walked away. Felicity, stop it, I can hear your whimpering!

The classrooms were surprisingly normal and looked almost modern. I had received a map of the school with the help of my father and knew where I had to go. Which I was incredibly grateful for because there was no way I would have known where I was going. There wasn't even that many students in this school, why in the world is it so big?
I walked towards my classroom, focusing on where I had to go. As I was walking, I felt something odd. There were many stares on my back, and when I turned to them, they quickly looked away. I shrugged it off continuing to walk.
"I can't believe she'd actually come back to school after that."
"I heard Alex dumped her, and she cried and begged him to take her back."
"Poor Alice, she's the only one who got hurt."
Hearing these words, I scoffed. I thought I was the villain here, so why do I feel like the victim? Why in the world should I run away? When in the world did I ever beg the guy, I couldn't even get a word in! And didn't get hurt? I'm pretty sure the previous owner died from her head injury! I continued walking, pretending not to hear them while taking notice of their faces and voices. Just you watch out, this girl never forgets those who talks s**t about her.
What I needed to know now was which girl was Alice. None of the girls around me seemed to be injured, so it couldn't be them. And Alice seemed to be a good girl, and wouldn't talk bad about others. With that, I finally found my first class-English- and walked in. As soon as I did, the chattering all stopped, and everyone turned to stare at me. I don't understand, shouldn't I have some henchmen or something?
I sighed -yet again- and walked towards the furthest seat in the back. Although all of the students continued to stare at me, one pair of eyes stood out in particular. A pitch-black haired kid with black eyes, which was odd considering every kid came from European lineage in this school, glared at me intensely like I murdered his dog. Shuddering a little, I continued to walk, carefully stepping over his foot when he tried to trip me. It was so expected, I almost laughed.
I finally made it to my seat and sat down. Luckily, it looked like seats were not assigned. Although the girl that sat next to me slowly inched away. I became a little depressed. Although I was not popular in my previous life, I never lacked friends and was well liked for being nice and quiet. Being this openly hated was very uncomfortable. Suddenly it became loud again.
"Alice, are you alright?" A girl came in, and immediately, the difference in the reactions was completely opposite. Both girls and guys came up to her, worried. While I would say Camille was beautiful, in an elegant way, Alice was on the cute side. She had large brown eyes, with her light brown hair tied up in a braid. The only problem was that her arm was held in place with a bandage, probably from the incident from a week ago.
I had not expected to see her so quickly, so I was surprised. But it did explain why the animosity was this bad in this class. It was because these kids spent every day with Alice. It seemed like my plan had to take place now.
I looked at the clock. The class would not start for another 10 minutes, though everyone knows that the nobility is never late, which is why most students were here. Just enough time. I glanced at Alice, trying to get a hold of her character, and when our eyes met, she quickly looked down. Huh. I stood up, shocking everyone.
I quickly walked towards Alice, purposely avoiding the black-haired boy who stood up and tried to block me. Alice looked frightened as if I was going to hurt her. My arm was pulled back by the same guy but I shrugged him off, most likely surprising him with my strength.
When I finally faced Alice, I was surprised at the height difference. I was almost a head taller than her, which makes her fear of me quite understandable. I took a deep breath in and bowed deeply, making sure it wouldn't have shamed my previous Japanese heritage.
"I am very sorry for have caused you trouble Alice. Please forgive me." I said with my head down, speaking in my most sincere tone.
A/N: Phew, that was exhausting. I really need to have a plot down instead of just writing. Updates might be a little slow now that all my ideas are out, so I apologise. Thank you for reading, and I really hope you're enjoying the story so far! I won't make any promises but I hope this becomes more interesting.
