Isabella finished all her work for the day and sighed. She had been living as Charlotte for the past three weeks, three weeks. She also had to do things she never believed she would do in her life, and the worst of those things was work.
All she had been doing was working. When she wakes up in the morning, she had to greet Charlotte parents, which was something she doesn't even do to her parents because they're mostly not around. Then she had to do house chores! Why can't they just employ a maid!
After doing that work, Jason and I, well Charlotte had to go to this restaurant and work again as waiters. Waiters!
If the world knew about it, they wouldn't believe this, how can Isabella Romanov the three times champion of UUS singing competition, work?
And that's not the worst of it, there's this guy, Princeton, which was the manager of the restaurant who kept hitting on me, and the guy could, what am I saying, I'm sure his about twice my age, I mean Charlotte's God this is so confusing!
Isabella couldn't help but let out a little sharp scream of frustration.
Living as Charlotte was not working for her, on a few days Charlotte, the real Charlotte would have to sing at the big stage for the UUS singing competition finals, while her, she would have to stay at home making new year's lanterns with Charlotte family. Seriously!
"Isa... I mean Charlotte, it's time for us to go". Jason looked as Isabella who looked more frustrated than usual.
" What's getting you so worked up? ". Isabella who was frustratingly cleaning a table looked up to Charlotte really handsome brother.
" Your sister better not mess up me winning the competition ". Isabella said after a while.
" That's why you're so worked up" Jason paused for a moment then he continued. " Charlotte said that she had known how to play the piano and violin, in just three weeks, so, maybe you have a chance". Isabella looked at Jason, and gave him the ' are you serious look'
"What? Charlotte is a very fast learner". He raised his hands and smiled warily.
" I really hope that sister of yours can sing"
" She can. Charlotte really can sing, I hear her in the showers some times". Jason defended.
" I wonder why she wants to become a medical doctor, and not a singer ".
" I hope she's as good as you say, because if I don't at least get two yes from different judges, she'll regret ever knowing me" .
Jason looked at Isabella, it had taken him three full days to finally come to the terms, that this girl who was in his sister's body, wasn't Charlotte. Isabella was different. While Charlotte always has the contented look on her face, Isabella always had the look of frustration. She acted like everything was against her.
The first day the soup swap happened, Isabella was.. no so fun to be around. When they got home, she just asked for where Charlotte's room was and locked herself in. His mother almost ran mad. She immediately felt that her daughter was not the same. It took a whole week and a lot of I'm sorry's to convince her that her daughter was still the same. And the worst or best part was he had to help Isabella, telling her what Charlotte likes and dislikes what their suppose to do and what not, it was really stressing.
The only good thing about it was this, was that he get to be around Isabella more.
...
Charlotte P.O.V
"Miss Isabella your technique is serious lacking, and the competition is in four days. Four days miss Isabella! ". The piano instructor yelled at Charlotte. The way she was playing was just too wrong.
Charlotte looked at the instructor who had been really annoying this past few weeks. She knew it was not his fault, her playing of the piano was a bit off key, but she was trying. She really was!
How do you expect someone to master the piano and violin in just three weeks, what do they think she was, a machine. Even a machine would a least get breaks to recharge their batteries, but her...
When she left the hospital about three weeks ago, the first thing Isabella mother told her to do was practice on your piano. All hell almost broke lose on the doctor that did a brain scan on me, when Mrs Fabiola found out I couldn't at any instruments.
She said that I forgot every good thing I could do. She even fainted when she heard me sing for the first time. Since then, I've been assigned like ten tutors each for different things. I have one for my piano lessons, for violin, for dancing, for singing and the rest.
Though I try my best in playing the piano, I prefer the violin. That's because my mum use to play and she taught me a little. That was why I excelled in playing the violin, while the rest instruments, not so much.
Every day I had to practice on both instruments. The violin in the mornings, and the piano in the evenings. The afternoons were used to brush me up on dance lessons. How could someone live like this. And to crown it all up, I sleep for less than five hours a day! Is that even humane.
Mrs Fabiola, Isabella's mother said if she slept less, her brain would most likely jolt back her memory. I knew it wasn't possible, I'm not Isabella, but all I could do was go with the flow.
Today, I'm with the piano instructor, who is so frustrated that he was making my frustration even even more frustrated.
"Miss Isabella, are you even listening to me?". The instructor called pulling me out of my thoughts.
" Em.. yeah.. I'm listening ". I said unconvincingly. I don't even believe I'm listening.
" This may look like a game to you, but it isn't. The competition is in four days, and you're no where ready for this, you can't... "
" Enough. I'm trying, I really I'm. Just you wait, I'll win this thing". I said with confidence, but the moment that left my mouth, I felt the confidence I use to say it disappear and I heard the instructor laugh.
" Do you think you can win this with the way you're acting"
" What if I can? ". I said the confidence coming back again.
" That's not possible".
" You know what, I'm going to win this competition with or without your help". I stood up and went to my room. That would eventually reach one of my top five stupid things.
