Sarah's Pov

"NO, I'm not leaving with you" I argued as i struggled with the guard.

Delvin gazed at me with the a scowl on his face, I could see the anger evident in his face, then he turned his back towards me and leaves the room.

"Follow me" Pedro said and grabbed my wrist forcefully, my tiny hand held tightly by him, his strength was more than mine as he pulls me from the bed until i was standing on my feet. I winced and cried out that his grip were tight and he was hurting me, but he wouldn't bulge.

"I'm pretty sure that there are other ways to make her follow you" the nurse interrupted but he gave her a stern and dangerous look causing her to shudder.

"Okay!, I'll follow you, but I don't need to be dragged" I said in defeat, and he released my hand from his grip.

I drifted out of the room, and he followed me behind,we got outside to where the car was parked, it was a black SUV with tinted windows, Delvin was seated in the passenger seat, he looked at me with furrowed brows causing me to lower my gaze to the floor.

I sat silently in the car contemplating my ordeal, with the memories of the accident playing continuously in my head. I inhaled a sharp breath and closed my eyes, immediately, tears rolled down my eyes, i sniffed and wiped my eyes with my hands.

Two hours later.

We drove into a mansion with tall gates and fences, we got down from the car and i drifted my eyes round the compound. It looked more like a ranch to me, although it had a beautiful structure.

On reaching the door a girlish figure ran up and wrapped her arms around Delvin. He hugged her back tenderly.

"Welcome Daddy" she said.

"Sweetheart how was your day?" he asked, as he_ carassed her hair affectionately.

"It was good" she said and turned to me, "Hey Sarah" she called in a friendly tone.

I looked up, it was Kayla; my cousin, we had never seem to get along in anyway, she was always in competition with me even though she was a year older me. She placed her hand on my shoulder and i shrugged, a grin plastered my face as she hugged me, "It's been a while, Cousin" she said still looking all smiley, I wish i could wipe that smile away from her face, the Kayla I knew would never smile at me or even hug me, she would always make me inferior to her.

Being the only daughter and child of Mr Delvin Martinez; the third richest man in City Central, she had always been treated like a princess, she was given whatever she asked.

"Sweetheart" Delvin called

"Daddy"

"Please take Sarah to her room" he said and turned to speak to Pedro.

"Okay, let's go Sarah" I followed her into the house, filled with many rooms and paintings, she led me to a room upstairs, she then opened a door and we entered into a room, " This is your new room." She stretched her hand at it.

I stood by the door drifting my eyes round the room, 'it was nothing compared to my own room back home' I thought to myself as sluggishly entered the room.

"I'll take my leave now" she said and leaves the room. I turned to the mirror beside the bed. I stared at myself, tears stunged my eyes as I looked deep into my brown eyes which i had inherited from my father, I sniffed holding back my tears.

Then i heard some voices from the window, i walked to it, looked down, there was Pedro and some men, I watched them leave the house in a car and wondered where they were going to.

My heart ached, the more i thought about my parents, i inhaled deeply and wiped my tears. I laid on the bed and closed my eyes as i tried to sleep but the memories of my parents and the accident kept playing in my head, i opened my eyes stared at the wall.

When I woke up it was almost noon. But i was still lying on the bed. I couldn't get up, my head; it ached real bad.

Then i heard a knock on the door

"Who's there?" I asked yawning.

"Miss, you should get up and have something" One of the maids entered with some clothes and a towel in her hands.

She looked at my red and swollen eyes, pity immediately crowded hers.

I tried to sit up after laying in an uncomfortable position, my back snapped.

"Ahh" I winced.

"Miss, be careful" she cautioned and dropped the clothes on the cupboard to help me.

"Miss Kayla asked me to give you these" she said pointing to the clothes.

" What's your name?" she asked.

" Sarah" I replied.

"I'm Alba"she said with a smile.

She seemed friendly and nice, she looked like she was in her mid 30s. She helped me get up and took me to the bathroom "while you take your bath I'll go prepare something for you" she said and turned to leave " oh and I'll also bring some painkillers too" she said.

" Thank you" I said

" No problem, excuse me Miss" she said and leaves the room.

After having my bath, I came out of the bathroom, picked up the cloth and wore it, it was short a black Armani gown, and flip-flop.

Alba entered the room again " your food is ready Miss" she said and I followed her to the dinning. I noticed the house was a bit quiet, " where is everyone" I asked in curiosity.

" They are all out, Sir Delvin and Lady Maria are at the casino and Miss Kayla went to visit a friend" she said and served me my food.

"Casino? " I asked perplexed

" Yes" she replied and sat on a seat close to me.

I picked up the spoon and began eating my food, I didn't realize I was so hungry,that I pulled two spoons of food in my mouth at once, she gazed at me in surprise as she watched me eat like a dog.
