Lily looked at her body in deep thoughts, she was long gone in thoughts that consumed her soul. She had a lot of things on her mind, she was struggling with school and work and even her personal life. She needed space to just think, but she knew she could not risk taking a day off. She remembered the conversation she had with Alex the last time. Maybe she shouldn't have gone out with him? She didn't want to send the wrong signals to him, she didn't want to do that to him, it would not be fair at all to either of them. She knew that Alex liked her, it was obvious, but she wasn't sure about her own feelings, especially around six months ago when the blue-eyed hunk of a man showed up and turned her whole world upside down. She had been trying her best not to think of him because after that night, when he dropped her off in her apartment and saw Alex, he had not texted her. Maybe he already gave up on whatever they had after seeing Alex. That should only make her not be bothered by him though, it should only make her want to forget about him, but the feelings didn't work that way. She jolted back to the present when her phone chimed. That must be from the group chat. She and her best friends had an outing today, and they had to beg her to attend because she normally didn't attend any of their outings because she was always too busy juggling school life and work altogether to make it work. She thought about it and, since they were always there for her, it was only normal that she was there for them too. That was the only normal thing. Sarah: Lily don't dare get there after me, I know how late you are. Can be. Jack: let her look good in peace please. We don't know where each of us will come across our future husbands. Sarah: Everything about you is about a man. Don't you think of other things? Jack: Well, time is not on my side, I need a man. Lily: You all should not panic, I'll be there soon. Sarah: You better be. She closed the group chat and shook her head with a smile on her face. Those guys would be the death of her. They did make her happy though. They were the best guys she could ever ask for. She took her bag and then checked herself out one more time. She was a little bit on the big side. She wasn't as slim as Sarah or other models, like girls. It's why she has been a little bit insecure about her body for a while now, but she hasn't really let it bother her. She had fat in the right places, that was what Sarah told her anytime she noticed that she was having a hard time with her body. She stared at her wide hips and her protruding ass, it stretched the body-con gown she was wearing, and her generous amount of breasts. She got all this from her mother. She just wanted to be slim and looked at by men the way they look at slim ladies too, but she was not lucky to be treated like that, so she just gave up. Once she was sure she looked good enough for her, she left her house and locked it. The weather was beautiful today, and it was a nice day to go out on a ice cream date with somebody. She remembered the date she went to with Mr Blackwood. Ever since she realized that he was like the richest and most eligible bachelor in all of England and even some other countries, to be exact, she had been feeling weird. She had no idea why someone like him would take interest in someone like her. He was a hot shot, like Sarah would always say. The guys that played the big game. She shook her head and got into her car. They were using Jack’s house, which was cool because he had a cinema that had a pool. It was always fun and calm, you could sit down and watch a movie with your legs in the cold water, that's why she was always excited about going to his house. She was not as buoyant as her friends, they lived more extravagant lifestyles because they had parents that were doing well for themselves and all that, but she had to manage. She could not risk anything happening to her savings and the plans she had for it. She didn't even buy clothes like normal girls her age do. Sarah buys most of it for her. She claims that it's sisterhood, once she buys hers, she’ll buy Lily's too. Sometimes she's always overwhelmed by the love, and it took a while to get used to, but she did get used to it. She took a turn at the corner that bent in the direction of Jack’s house, she saw Sarah's car and bit her lips, she was going to have her head. She wasn't late though. Sarah must have been extra fast or something like that. Normally, she could just wake up by this time and go to take her bath because she really didn't like stress though she went through it everyday. She smiled as she found a suitable spot to park just beside Sarah. She quickly got her bag and the other stuff she put in the car previously to bring so as not to come empty handed. The moment she entered his house, a pillow met her face. “You b***h, I told you not to get here after me.” She glared at her with fury burning behind her eyes. Lily smiled and made a face at her. “Come on now, I know you cheated. At the time you called me, I was done and on my way to the car. So, it's either you were already on your way here or you flew or something.” Lily told her and she glared for a few more minutes before she released her from her glare. “Hey Jack, I brought burritos.” She told him and he flew to get it from her hands. “That's why you're my main b***h. You always know the right things to get. Oh look, there are chicken nuggets too.” Jack commented, intentionally wanting to get Sarah's attention because she liked those. Her ears perked but she wanted to react like she didn't hear anything, and she continued to be on her phone. “Come on, don't be mad, do you want us to spend the rest of the hours we have together mad at each other?” They seemed to do the trick. “You're saved by those chicken nuggets.” She told her and threw her in a hug and Lily wrapped her arms around her back. “I missed you so much.” Sarah murmured. “Come on, don't be a softie on me now,” Lily told her and she smiled. “Okay enough with mushy stuff you bitches.” Jack screamed at them with the burritos eaten halfway in his hands. “You crazy dude, how dare you dig into the meal without me?” Sarah squealed and both of them started making a run for it, trying to get the burritos from each other and all that. Her mind went back to Alex’s confession to her. She had a feeling that there was more to it and it bothered her. Could it be one of the reasons why her parents told her to come for dinner on Sunday? She didn't really like going home like that, it distorted with her mind and a lot of things that has happened. She didn't like her parents to know that she was a troubled child, they had always seen her as the happy child so she didn't bother changing it at all.
