CHAPTER 5

1785 Words
Gideon POV After I left Tamara at Uncle Damian’s office, I got no luck in finding him everywhere. I plopped myself to sit on the empty sofa inside the VIP area. I liked this spot because it gave me the perfect view of the club from above. This place is full of women, as we expected on ladies’ night. Sweet. A smile made its way to my lips as my mood suddenly changed. My eyes roamed around the place, looking for my next target for tonight. I always get laid on ladies’ night, and tonight I intended to do the same. I was still looking around when I suddenly spotted her. She was entering the club with three of her friends. All of them are beautiful, but she is the one who caught my attention. The one in the red dress. For a moment, I think I forgot to breathe as I looked at her. She is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in this club. Her confidence was radiating, and it filled the room without her noticing. Right at that moment, I knew that she was my target for tonight. Hell, I had to at least talk to her tonight. I watched her as she sat in the bar area with one of her friends, ordering drinks. The other two women had already gone to the dance floor, grinding their hips with another man. Thank God she didn’t do the same. I am not sure I could hold myself back from breaking the man’s arm if they dare to touch her. I think I would lose my sanity. My eyes find their way back to her. I was good at reading people, and I could tell that something was off in her expression. Or even dare I to say, she looked sad. Which is impossible. How could she be sad in such a happy place like this club? Moreover, she is young and rich, and fabulous. She had the world under her feet. I wonder what is bothering her. If only she would tell me about her problem. I was a good listener. Her friend seemed to notice that I was watching her. She slowly turned around until our eyes met. I should be looking away at this point, but that’s not my style. I’ve always made my target know that I want them. We held our gaze for not more than ten seconds before she broke our eye contact. She was blushing while tugging a strand of her hair behind her ear, which was a good sign. I grabbed my glass and took a slow sip while studying her. My target. I won’t let any man take her away. At least not tonight. Yes, I need her in my bed. Maybe after we have s*x, I’ll soon forget about her. By the time I put down my glass, she turns to see me again. I smiled at her, but then her friend got her attention again. I swear they did too much talking. They continue to talk with each other after that. I have to find a way to talk to her. This is seriously taking too long than I like. I was about to get up and walk towards her, but she got up first before me. Don’t tell me that she was about to? I let out a small curse as I saw her swaying her hips on the dance floor. f**k. It was hard enough to control myself seeing her sitting there by the bar in that dress. She was a tease. Now she’s trying to test my limit by swaying that body? She would regret this later. I am going to make her pay when I take her many times in my bed tonight. Yes, that sounds like a good plan. I saw a man approaching her from behind. He puts his hands over her hips. I waited there and continued to watch what happened next. I was more than ready to rescue her if that man dared to harass her in any way. I have to say I didn’t like what I saw. I knew she was just a random woman, but she’s mine for tonight. They were seemed to enjoying it at first until she turned around and saw his face. “YOU??” I could read her lips saying that word. Seems like they knew each other, and she didn’t like him that much. She pushed him back after he said something that I couldn’t hear. The man grabbed both of her hands, started to make a scene. I take it as a cue to do something now. **************** Kiara POV I was still dancing to the upbeat music played by the DJ, showing him some of the seductive moves that I’d learned from Pamela before. I’d never felt this bitchy before in my entire life. But I’ve made my decision. I will act a bit reckless tonight and get myself a new boyfriend. I am already dressed to kill and I am not going home with an empty hand. Hopefully, this time someone who can stay around and could keep up with my busy work schedule. He’s not exactly the type of guy that I was looking for. But, hey. We can’t judge a book by its cover, right? See Nolan, for example. He was the typical ‘parents-approved’ man, but he still ended up as a jerk. After going through countless heartbreak, I think it’s time for me to stop being skeptical. Moreover, he was hot. He’s by far the hottest man that I could probably date. (if we could make it to that phase) At least I know that he’s interested. I should open my heart and give him a chance. I could feel his eyes on me as we both danced. Swinging my hips seductively while enjoying the music, I suddenly feel a warm hand on both sides of my waist. This is too easy. I wish I’d done this sooner. I’ve never seduced a man like this before. Now that I am actually on it. This is pretty fun. Most of the men that I dated were my dad’s business associates. I would never date a man that my dad didn’t approve of. At first, I thought it was his hands. I let him guide our movement as I started to grind my ass against his member, which is already hard by now. I was stunned at first that I could actually have that effect on a man. I wanted to kiss him, tasting those sinful lips. I spun around to face him, but I was shocked to see Nolan instead of him. “YOU??” I said, quickly pushing him away from me. I felt disgusted after I knew that I just grind myself to him. What the hell? He grabbed both of my hands, pulling me back into his chest. “Baby, we need to talk.” He said in a pushing tone. “There’s nothing to talk about right now! You even try to convince dad that I am the one who should be blamed for your infidelity!?” My hand was itching to slap him. If only I was stronger than him. I would do that without a doubt. But his grip was too tight. “Can you please give me a chance to talk first?” Nolan said, pleading at me. I would be a fool if I gave him another chance. Once a cheater, always a cheater. That’s what I’ve learned so far. I tried to wriggle my arms from him. “No, let me go!” I said, but he won’t let go. “Let me go, you moron! You’re hurting me!?” I said, almost yelling at him. I am afraid the music is too loud for him to hear me because he clearly didn’t listen. Before Nolan could drag me out from the dance floor, a strong pair of arms swatted his hands away from me. “Hey dude, she said let go.” My eyes widened as I saw him. His voice was deep, while his eyes were looking straight at my ex. It was damn sexy. I’ve never had a man defend me before. Only my dad. “Stay away from my girlfriend. This is none of your business!” Nolan replied to him after a while. He then grabbed my hand back. The man looked a bit taken aback after that. Nolan took that as I chance to pull my hand. “No!?—“ I said. As if he knew that I didn’t want to come with Nolan, he then spun him around and landed a punch on Nolan’s nose. People started to notice the fight. But he didn’t seem to care. Nolan tried to punch him back, but he managed to dodge them and threw another punch at his stomach after. He is clearly more trained than Nolan in fighting. “Oh my God, what just happened?” Pamela suddenly asked from behind me. “Nolan?..” she then said in disbelief. By the time Pam noticed that it was Nolan, he was already beaten to a pulp. After Nolan passed out on the dance floor, the man got up and turned back towards me. “You’re okay?” he asked. I was too stunned to give him any answer. So I just stared back at him, speechless like an i***t. I think I am okay. I finally gave him a nod after I saw him frowning at me because I was mute like a statue.  He then blew out a breath before he took my hand. His hands were big and warm. It felt so secure. It’s strange how he could make me feel protected. This is the first time for me to feel such an instant connection with another human being. A man, to be precise. “Do you want to come with me?” he then suddenly popped the question, taking me by surprise. Am I drunk? How many glasses have I just had earlier now that I started imagining things inside my head? But then I realized that it was real. It wasn’t just my imagination. This is real, and he was still standing in front of me, waiting for my answer. I would be a fool to say no. I looked back at Pam, and she nodded several times, giving me a ‘yes’ cue. “Please? We need to get out of here ASAP.” He said, nudging my hand. “Okay..” I then let him guide me out, leaving the club and all my friends there.
