“Mr. Deering?”
“Yes,” Kev replied cautiously. He knew it was Detective Payne because of the Caller ID.
“I thought you might like to know that we’ve arrested Mr. Hale’s killer.”
“Thank God! Who was it and why hasn’t it been on the news?” He knew it hadn’t been because he’d watched it while eating breakfast.
“The arrest happened late last night, in Richmond, Virginia. Mr. Monroe has already lawyered up and his attorney is fighting extradition.”
“Mr. Monroe? Like Tyler Monroe?” Kev asked, feeling bemused to say the least.
“Yes. If you recall the woman you told us about who was in the hallway.”
