Feels

1000 Words
Ugh... I can’t take it anymore.  Why do I even care so much about this girl that I get mad and struggle in her place? Ah, haha, I guess I am crazy. Thoughts like these run through my head while I was searching for the others in the rain, I dashed off by myself and left the flashlight behind. If I didn’t find her, I may have been as good as lost as well. It’s only been almost a week since I met this strange trouble-magnet of a girl. She’s done many unusual things, many annoying things, although it never seemed like she intended to do so. I’ve been planning to get her kicked out of the school but just a few moments ago, I didn’t even want to let her out of my sight.  She didn’t seem to have a care for her surroundings, is childish and a clutz. She’s been nothing but trouble from the very beginning. However, what is this? This feeling of wanting to protect her. I don’t want to see her hurt. Even if she never really complained about it and always acts like it’s all just trivial matter, I don’t like it. I didn’t know being strange can be contagious. How I’m acting right now is really unusual of me, getting mad, punching and blaming someone for something they did not do, causing trouble for others just for the sake of another, and not being mindful of myself. I knew my fever would come back if I strained myself, but I ignored it. I ignored it and searched for her, presently my vision is all blurred, I feel my senses fading and my knees getting weak, and yet I continue to walk.  “Michael!” I heard someone calling me. He approached me and took Mallory from me.  Ha... I can rest now. -- I woke up back in the dormitory. I’m not sure why, but Mallory is sleeping right next to me in my bed. My body doesn’t feel heavy at all. What time is it? My phone... I searched for it in my pockets then I remembered that I left it back at the forest when Mallory got hit by the lightning while holding unto it. Mallory had no scales or anything that looked like it on her face. Although she seem to have a swell on her forehead where I remember that something growing out of her before. My brain really must have been imagining things at that time. Seeing her sleeping peacefully like this makes me feel like a coward for being intimidated by her eyes before.  I didn’t think it was right for me to keep staring at Mallory while she’s like this so I got up and headed to Raphael and Gab.  “Michael!” They both exclaimed when they saw me. They were looking at me as if their eyes were talking, saying “You worried us.” “Sorry, I acted rash back then.” I apologized before they even say how much worry I gave them. “Woah, who are you!?” Gabriel reacted. “Strange, even I have never heard Michael apologize.” Raphael said, “Are you alright?” he asked as if making fun of me. “You guys...” I chased them over to give them some whacking. “Here I am apologizing and you’re just making fun of me???”  We ran in circles inside the room until I finally caught them. ... “Today’s Sunday, right?” I had to ask them because I don’t have my phone, and my watch got stolen together with my towel and clothes while I was in the shower. Now that I remember, I have to buy a replacement for those. “Yeah...” Gabriel replied while we’re all laying down the floor. Great, I can buy it now. “You guys have things to do?” I asked. “Yeah, I’ve got an assignment, help me.” Gabriel replied. “Too bad then, Gabriel can’t come with us to the mall.” I said, “I was planning on stopping by the arcade too.” I added. “Arcade???” Gabriel asked eagerly. “Yeah, too bad you have an assignment.” I teased him. “W-well, that can wait...” he said. “Raphael?” I asked, bet Raphael’s got nothing to do but study. “Coming.” he answered. Settled, that was easy. I need one of them to come with me or it’ll be no fun to go to the mall alone at weekends.  “Let’s go to the church first.” I said, it’s Sunday after all. I went back to my room to grab my wallet. Then I realized I was forgetting about Mallory, I didn’t really think about bringing her, because I thought she might need more rest, but when I was about to leave the room, I felt my shirt being pulled back by her. I looked at her for a bit, she rubbed her eyes and looked at me... Hey, I thought she’s wearing contacts? Her eyes are still red, is it alright for people to rub their eyes with their contacts on? Maybe she needs glasses? She had a bed hair, long nails and wearing a t-shirt too big for her that her shoulder is showing. In not even a moment, her stomach started growling. Alright, I’ve been convinced with one look that we have to bring her with us. I didn’t really wanna bring a trouble-magnet in a place with many people, but she just leaves me with no choice.
