Cleaning

Classes... This is that one word that does sound boring. It’s lunch time. Raphael told us that they were punished with three hours of community service, but he didn’t tell us it was separated into two. An hour at noon and two hours after class. How obnoxious it is to have to do community service at lunch. Raphael must’ve thought so as well, he tried to sneak away by himself when the disciplinary officer informed him, but Mallory did a great job of pointing him out. She was like a dog saying she can find him by his scent, and she did.  Anyway, the location was at the indoor pools beside the gym. It seems that they were supposed to clean the pool and gym by themselves, but what we saw wasn’t exactly two guys cleaning but a number of girls flocking around Raphael. They were asking him so many ridiculous things, I could see how hassled he was from afar. News sure spread fast, he has fans already, but it seems that because of them Raphael was unable to do any work until now. “Hey girls, Raphael here needs to clean the whole place by himself,” Gabriel suddenly came with a whole bunch of cleaning tools and showed them off to the girls. “We’re starting with the CRs, would you like to help?” The girls seemed to have been turned off by the fact that they have to clean the comfort rooms and went away. Well, that’s one way to deal with things. “Where’d you get that?” I asked pointing at the whole bunch of tools. “That’s a lot,” I added. “Ah, this? It was at the storage room over there.” Gabriel pointed out a common door with no signs on it. It looks like after all the time Gabriel spent doing community service before, he can now figure out by instinct where the storage room for these things is.  “Uh... You found me.” Raphael joined in the conversation awkwardly. “Not us, but Mallory. “ I replied. “Now that you think about it, where did she go?” Gabriel asked, and all of a sudden we realized that Mallory was gone. “I think we lost sight of her just as we reached the indoor pool.” She shouldn’t be getting lost with that dog nose that she has, but it is worrisome because Mallory is like a magnet to trouble. We looked around for her, who knows what could have happened to that clutz. I told them to search inside while I search outside, but before I could even go outside, I heard Gabriel shout. That was fast. Mallory was at the men’s locker room with another guy which when I came in was already fighting with Gabriel. They started squabbling on the floor, Raphael was trying to stop them. I had to intervene as well. “Calm down, Gab!” I finally got a hold of him.  “He picked the fight first!” he argued, “This freak thinks Mallory is an ashtray!” Ashtray? I looked at Mallory, she had a burn on her collar.  “What the f*ck!?” I got too angry, I also punched him in the face.  “Tch, hot-headed pricks.” the guy said. “What did you say? Come over here, I’ll show you how it feels to be an ashtray.” I said ready to hit him again, he’s the one who hurt Mallory first and he’s got the guts to call us pricks? Who the hell puts off their cigarette on a person?  “Stop!” a professor yelled at us. “Aiden, you’re here to do community service for fighting, do you plan to get kicked from the school?” she added. One of the girls from before was behind him, she must’ve called her. So this guy is Aiden? No wonder he pissed off Raphael. Aiden glared at the professor and went out of the locker room. He grabbed a mop and yelled “Hey prick! Pick these things up already.” pointing at the paddles on the poolside.  This guy is more annoying than I thought. I wanna tell him to pick it up by himself, but the professor was watching. “I’ll take Mallory to the clinic.” I told them, I don’t think I would be able to hold back from messing up that guy’s smug face if I stayed there. -- I took Mallory out right away, the burn didn’t seem to hurt that much, although I doubt it won’t leave a scar, Miss Alice said so as well. Her face was stern when we came out, she was also just staring at Gab and Aiden when they were fighting. Did she get traumatized? The treatment didn’t take too long, and the clinic was just beside the gym so we were able to come back right away. When we came back Aiden was mopping on the other side of the pool. We’re not supposed to clean the pool itself right now because there will still be practice, they have already cleaned the showers, with nothing to do on the poolside, but mopping, we decided to leave Aiden there and clean the gymnasium. Raphael asked Mallory how she’s feeling using his notebook, but she did not answer, instead she grabbed a ball on the ground and handed it to him. “Does she want to play?” Gabriel asked.
