Their plan

It's been a month since I got to know Lily was pregnant. She is almost 8 weeks now and had her first ultrasound. So far she and the baby is doing well with a healthy heart beat. Considering her past records let's hope she is safe now . Her past records were 5 or 6 weeks before the unfortunate miscarriages. Dr.Fernandez suggested her to take complete rest though.she has been suffering from her morning sickness since last week. Ian taking good care of her from the moment he came to know that she is expecting and she is happy. We skipped our evening walk to the park . I had been busy with work and the shop is going welll. My assistants were a great help managing the growing business. As Lily could not help me run my errands, it was a little difficulty with my morning sickness. The fun part was seeing the facial expressions of my assistants who were ignorant of my condition wonder what's happening when I had nausea and dizzy when I was there in the shop.They may have doubts but hesitate to ask me directly which I enjoyed watch them speaking in between .

It also been a month since the party night. I had a few dreams about the probabilities of what would happen if the song was not stopped. And it has been one of my habit thinking of the moments again and again our dance, the way he hold me close to him, the way he looked at me and his breath on my neck, goosebumps pricked my skin and my face blushed.I wonder was he really going to kiss me? If so was it just in the moment and he don't feel anything the way I feel for him. About Jacob, well.. I didn't see him since the night. From Lily I got to know that he was on a business trip to Asia a week after the party. Though I didn't see him but he was there in all my chat with Lily. We start with something that always end up with mentioning Jacob. For example, we're talking of her morning sickness , it goes from that to Ian's caring, he take off from his work to Jacob helping him with less work loads. Then there was from skipping evening walk to the park to meeting him there. Then the party, from Mr. Hales to his business to me being Jacob's date to others surprised looks on seeing 'him' with a woman. I also got to know one thing from Lily that I wanted to ask. She told me that Jacob never entertained women who willingly throw themselves on him for his money and fame which for some unknown reasons relief for me. In fact she said that I was the only woman she saw with him ever since she joined the company other than his secretary. She also doubt if it has something with his past experience or incidents which was known solely by him.

I decided to visit Lily today. I already called her to let her know my visit there and also ask her if she will be home or not. I baked a carrot cake and some cookies which were her favorite and packed them for her. After dressed into a jeans and top I left my apartment.

Pulled into her driveway I got out of the car and picked the carry bag containing the cake. Pressing her door bell I heard her calling to come in from inside. I turned the door knob open and walk in. Entering the living room I saw Lily watching some series on TV, netflix exactly with a half emptied tub of ice cream. She love eating ice cream while watching her soaps. I sat beside her before placing the carry bag on the coffee table.

"What's that? " she asked eyeing the carry bag.

" I baked carrot cake and cookies for you" I saw her smiling at the mention.

"You know what you are the best. I just thought of asking you to bake something for me and here you are already with what I want " she said keeping the ice cream tub aside and came to hug me.

" Yeah! I know that. It just you take long to realize what you have " I shrugged mocking her.

" Ice cream! Mind sharing some? " I asked her eyeing the tub.

" Now that you brought me a cake it's all yours "she smirked and she hand me the tub and stood up and walked into the kitchen with the carry bag. She came back with two plates of pieces of carrot cake and handed one to me before sitting back. I took my plate after keeping the ice cream tub on the coffee table. We ate the cake watching the series . After finishing the series, Lily told me that she needs to talk to me something important. Raising my eyebrows I asked her what it is that she wants to talk.

"Actually, I was planning to visit you tomorrow. But you beat me visiting me here so I thought it is time to talk to you" she started.

"Oh! Okay, I'm listening. shoot " I said. I didn't know I will regret it after hearing what she wants to talk.

" It is... Elsa, you know what situation we're in now.I mean the insemination and you carrying our child and now me too" she pause then continued " Ian thinking it is better to tell all what happened to his brother before the situation get worse and slip out of our hands". I was shocked though I expected some thing like this would happen from the moment I know Lily was pregnant but not this soon. "You mean telling our secret to Jacob?" I asked her. She looked down nodding.

"You know we already told him I was pregnant when we confirmed your pregnancy and now that I'm actually pregnant and weeks behind you. We need to take care of all the babies and with the situation we are in, it will be difficult". I didn't say anything so she continued "We didn't know how he would react but Ian thinks he is the only one who could help us if something go out of hand" she looked up at me. My mind went blank and my face too.

"I'm sorry I know you agreed to this keeping it secret from everyone but the circumstances changed.... and this.... happened unexpectedly " she said weakly touching her belly." I'm sorry, I put you two in such a situation. I should have waited for some before jumping into made you agree with. But I was selfish and scared to lose my love my life. I'm sorry Elsa" her words broken. "Ian told me to ask you if it is okay with you if we tell his brother and seek his help?. You know our due dates are different when you are in labor I'll be heavily pregnant and don't know if I could help you with anything and Ian doubt he alone could do all . Even now I was unable to help you with due to.... You know ". I thought for a minute. We may need help with all three babies but why tell him why not hire a nanny or home nurse?

I think I missed the part if things go out of hand. Yes. They are right. Jacob is the only one who could help if thing go out of hand. The Gregorys are well known and loaded, every news about the family attract media even though Ian and Jacob try to keep low profile.I don't want to be in public eye for what I agreed.Thats why I wanted to keep this secret. But what eats me now is what will happen if I agreed to them telling Jacob all this. My thoughts were interrupted by Lily's voice.

"Elsa, you okay? Say something"

How could she ask me if I was okay? "Huh?"

"You didn't say anything" she said worried .

"Uh if you two think it is better to tell him then am okay with it " though I said I'm okay I know I'm not okay with this. But it is their babies, they have the right to take any decision regarding them even if there is no contract signed. But as a surrogate mother I have the right to keep my identity hidden from others but this case is different.

"When you plan to tell him? I asked her after a few minutes of silence.

"Soon. This week if you ok "she answered.
