Chapter Thirty Four Thursday, 22nd Caroline had a late-morning meeting scheduled with potential new client at their offices, which were over two hundred miles away. Although she set off from home early, the usual travel snags and autumn weather conspired to push her right to the wire and she arrived just as the session was due to start. Three hours later she stumbled into a nearby coffee shop to grab a sandwich and run through the notes from the meeting while things were still fresh in her mind. It was close to three thirty before she finally got round to accessing her emails and her eye was instantly caught by a note from Ben entitled “Ooops.” Full of dread she opened the note. It read; “Caro, I accidentally sent this to Joe. I hope he doesn’t take it the wrong way. Sorry. My bad!”
