Blurb

In the sewers of Jotun, nezumi swarm and squirm, blood-thirsty monsters take root in all strata of human society, and mad werewolves chase their prey on full moon nights. Shapeshifters replace babies in human families, forgetting their true identities, and ghouls in the graveyard forge underground palaces that belong only to them. In the deepest shadows, the demons themselves opened their eyes, greedily and cautiously looking at the delicacy called "reality". It's the bloodthirsty in the night, the finned monsters in the trenches, the ravenous dragons in the caves, the terrifying nightmares in the subconscious oceans, the amorphous entities flowing among the stars. "God asked him, 'What is your name?' It replied, 'My name is legion, because we are numerous.' ’”

Chapter 1 The city without light
The young man leaned back in the chair, his handsome face was set off by a black suit, his eyes were deep, the bridge of his nose was high, and his body exuded a calming temperament. He was the only one in the spacious luxury car. Twenty-two years have passed since he came into this world, just finished college, and the train terminates in Jotun, the city where he was born. In 1895, at the age of five, he was adopted by Ed, now a well-known entrepreneur. Ed adopted Lejon with two children, and he and his wife were immigrants from the Western Sierra Islands, and although they were famous merchants at the time, they were not yet as wealthy as they are today. The Sofarans are now the magnates of the city of Jotun, thanks in large part to Lejeon. In fact, every time Ed made a "prescient" move, it was at the suggestion of Lejon, who had a vision for the times, and Ed, who was already a successful businessman, and the two together created the status that the Sofaran family is today. It wasn't until four years ago that Lejon left home to study at the University of Erbija. Now that he's back, it's reasonable that Ed will be building this business empire with him just as he did four years ago. At the same time, as Ed had promised, Lejon would receive one-third of the Sofaran family's fortune, yes, this was the consensus of the two of them. He placed a black humanoid statue on the table, which depicted a well-dressed male nobleman, but strangely enough, two pairs of bat mactuals extended from his back, and two pairs of sharp teeth in his mouth, the whole looked lifelike, as if he was ready to pounce on Lejon at any moment. "What will happen to Ed?" Lejon asked, looking at herself in the mirror. Although Ed now doesn't need Lejon's "wisdom" as much as he used to, both Ed and he understand that the two can create more wealth by working together. But Lejon was still worried about what would come next. In the first two years of his "escape" from Jotun, Ed's mental state deteriorated, becoming irritable, greedy, and competitive, unable to allow anyone to question him. That's why Lejon fled the city of Jotun, when Ed was on the verge of spiraling out of control, and he didn't want to be torn into pieces of minced meat and chewed and swallowed. Ed is a werewolf. In any case, Lejon can't contribute more than half of this business empire, he can't achieve anything himself, it's a chaotic world, Ed has been assassinated at least a dozen times, and if he were someone else, he would have been buried in the grave. And it is precisely because of this, having witnessed Ed's wildest side, that he chose to hide. But now things have changed. Ed sends him a letter inviting him back to Jotun, in which he speaks with sincerity and clarity, and says that he has taken control of the beast in his body and needs Lejon's help in something important. Present a ticket with the letter. But what really got Lejon in the car was the monster statue in front of him. Lejon reached out and held it tightly. Close your eyes. A thick gray fog slowly poured into the carriage like an ancient reptile wriggling, and it was pervasive, flowing out of every gap, drowning everything. Then the fog lifted, and Lechon opened his eyes, and before him was the boundless barren plain. A huge black tombstone rose out of thin air, standing in front of Lejune, who had detached himself from the physical universe, and only the statue in his hand still existed in this world. He looked up at the huge tombstone with his name inscribed on it - Lechon. "I'm back." This tombstone has accompanied him since he came into this world, and after all these years of companionship, he has also slowly understood the role of this tombstone. Rychon placed the statue in his hand on the dirt in front of him, and the white bones broke through the ground, rolling it up like a vine man, dragging it into the mud and dirt. Two bright red handwriting appeared on the tombstone. First, the above paragraph depicts the price that Lychon will pay. "Curse the Sun of Fear: the Sun will be your eternal enemy, scream, flee, and He will take you until he turns you to ashes. Bloodthirsty craving: You will crave blood, first for the first time, then for the second time, then for the third time, for the fourth time, and never end...... Empty Soul: Look in the mirror, there's nothing in it. ” This is followed by the second paragraph, which describes the gift he will receive. "Blessing: Undead Monster: Eternal Life, how many people dream of it...... Blood Power: Drink the blood, and it will answer you. Clan Leader: You can create your own kind and restrain their behavior to some extent, but only your direct blood will be affected by your will, remember: 'Your vassal's vassal, not your vassal'" This tombstone can transform certain items into Lejon's powers, but it is very picky, Lejon has seen several strange objects over the years, but only this statue meets its needs. But it can do other things. It's an instinctive instinct, like a whale would float to the surface to breathe, a bird of prey would hover in the sky, and an ant would forge a nest. The tombstone is the body of Lechon, indistinguishable from his hands, feet, heart, and lungs. And he chose to convert at this moment because the train had already entered the suburbs of Jotun. Overcast clouds loom over the region, a climate peculiar to the city of Jotun, where countless factories have sprung up since the last century, and industrial pollution has become a natural phenomenon, and last year the city saw the sun for only three months. Vampires are afraid of the sun, but Jotun doesn't have the sun. Lechon reached out and pressed against the tombstone, and the red words crawled on it like bugs, and then they gathered into bright blood and crawled towards his palm. They seeped in, crawled along his skin, then down the veins and through his heart, stopping it from beating, and then burrowed into his spine, winding upwards and down to his brain. Blood soaked Lejon's eyes, the world became unusually blurred, longing never experienced before scratched at his inner walls, and ancient power revived within him. Suddenly, however, Rychon felt something huge appear, so terrifying, more terrifying than any monster he could imagine, and the unrivaled divine power grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him out of this barren dimension. "Phew, ......" he fell back onto the couch, gasping for air, something threatening his life, a sense of urgency and depression choking his throat. Lechon's face was sickly pale, and his eye sockets were sunken, but he showed a certain deadly charm, and he was even more handsome than before. He dragged his heavy body to his feet and looked at the mirror on the table. It was empty. He felt hungry and weak. The incomparable divine sun pulled him out of the otherworldly dimension and into a rugged reality, where great fear stared at him. He's already a vampire.
