Gone Girls

Alexander's POV I was sitting at my desk listening to two Alphas from the east coast dispute territory when I felt Acelynn suddenly become anxious. This feeling grew to a distracting level when suddenly it was replaced with a feeling of giddy excitement. I relaxed slightly in my chair. It was hard to tell what she and her sister were discussing. I was growing more irritated listening to the Alphas bicker like children. "Listen," I said, cutting them both off, "either both of you come to some agreement where the river that runs between your packs will benefit both, or I will not allow either of your packs to use it."  They both appeared to pale but nodded that they understood. "I expect a contract to be written up and sent to me before the end of the week so I can review it before it is signed. If neither of you has anything else to discuss, I bid you farewell," I said gruffly.  Neither said anything, so I ended the video call. Again I felt Acelynns anxiety building this time. It didn't last long before it was replaced with a feeling of relief. I got up to look at the pool and realized neither of them were around it. I was just about to mind link Acelynn when Mason, my top guard, linked me, "My king, we have a problem," he said, sounding panicked, which was not usual for him.  My heart sank, and my anger grew. I knew it had to be about Acelynn. Before I could tell him to come to my office, he was bounding through the door, another guard on his heels. "Where is she?" I growled.  I had attempted to mind link her, but she was too far away. "My King, I went to lunch. When I returned 10 minutes later, I found that the Queen had told the guard watching my post that you had said it was ok if she went with her sister," Mason answered.  I let out a roar that shook the whole room. "When have even I left the palace without guards with me?" I yelled.  Neither said anything. I looked past Mason to the younger guard standing behind him. "I assume it was you that let her walk out of here. Did she say where she was going?" I asked, sneering at him.  "M..my King," he stammered, "She did not say where she was going, just that it would be quick." I slammed my first down on my desk. Who had hired this i***t? "Mason, go find her. They couldn't have gotten far. You..," I said, looking at the new guy, "If anything happens to her, I will personally make sure you wish you were never born."  He gulped, looking from me to Mason. Mason grabbed his shoulder, pushing him out of the room. I grabbed my phone and attempted to call Acelynn, but it went straight to voicemail. I sent a text thinking she might reply that if she was too afraid to talk to me.  Acelynn, I'm not mad. I just want to know that you are ok.  I waited for a reply, but none came. I sat my phone down on my desk and started to pace the room. My phone went off, but it wasn't a text it was a phone call: Me: Acelynn, where are you?  Bianca: It's Bianca, we were on the way back, but rogue wolves have stopped us. They threatened my life if she didn't get out and go with them.  Me: Is she still there? Mason is coming. Where are you?  Bianca: Yeah, she's behind the car though I can't see her. We are close to the turn-off for the palace road.  I dropped the phone and bolted out of my office. Down the stairs, I was shredding off my clothes, and before I made it to the front doors, I had shifted. I took off across the front yard towards the main gate. It was already open for me, and I took off towards the girls' location. Every rogue there was going to be sorry when I arrived. Anyone who threatened my Queen was not going to live to see tomorrow. I could hear the other guards behind me snarling and ready for a fight.
