Bianca and I had made it successfully to the store purchased what we wanted and were now heading back. It had been nice getting a small taste of freedom. It had reminded me of our girls nights at home. I had found a magazine with a picture of Alex on it with a small blurb about him breaking up with his girl friend. I was surprised to find him on one until Bianca pointed out that he was rich and what humans considered an eligible bachelor. I had got the magazine to read the article and a whole bag of snacks. My phone went off in my bag and I went to grab it. My head almost hit the dash when Bianca suddenly slammed on the breaks. I went to yell at her but stopped when I saw the reason she stopped. A group of rouge wolves was blocking the path. “Queen Acelynn come with us and we won’t have to kill your sister,” a rough looking guy said who must have been the leader of the group.        I looked over at my sister her eyes were big as she looked at me. This was my fault I couldn’t put her at risk. I handed her my phone, “Call Alex, tell him what happened. Lock the doors when I get out and whatever you do don’t get out. If they make an attempt to get you just drive.”        I opened the door not waiting for a response and quickly shut it behind me. The leader took a step towards me. “How nice at least you can follow direction,” he said to me with a laugh.   I narrowed my eyes at him. “What do you want?” I asked.    “My leader sent us to fetch you. If you come with us willingly we won’t have to hurt you,” he replied.   He walked towards me grabbing my arm as he pulled me down the road behind the car. Suddenly a large brown wolf jumped out of the tree line I couldn’t tell who it was but I knew it had to be one of the palace guards. He bared his teeth at the rogue that had a hold of me. He was severely outnumbered though and I looked behind him for others but there was no one. The rouge must have realized it as well. “Do you really want to die for her?” he asked as he shoved me to the ground.    The rouge shifted into a matted grey wolf. Several of the other rogues shifted with him. The palace guard tried but eventually the rouge wolves had him pinned to the ground. The palace guard was in rough shape and panting heavily as he lay against the ground. The leader of the rouges walked towards him growling ready to deliver the last bite to the neck that would surely kill him. “Stop!,” I screamed, “Don’t kill him. It’s me you want just take me!”    I pushed myself up off the ground holding onto the back of the car. The rogue leader paused looking at me. The others released the wolf on the ground who shifted into his human form. I gasped when I realized it was Mason one of Alex’s friends. My heart sank. I hope he was going to be ok. I went to move towards him and the rouge leader grabbed me around the throat and slammed me into the back of the car. “I’ve had enough of this. Subduing you would make this a lot easier,” he growled in my ear.    He had his fist pulled back ready to hit me when movement on top of the hill near us caught my eye. I gasped as a massive black wolf came into view. The rouge followed my gaze and I felt him tremble. The black wolf let out a roar that shook the ground before running towards us. Several other wolves flanked him teeth bared. I was dropped to the ground again as the rogue holding me shifted and ran in the opposite direction. The other rouges either followed him or were killed by the other guards. The black wolf came towards me. I knew it was Alex and after looking me over he went to his friend. I could tell he was mind linking someone and shortly after an suv pulled up. Shorts were provided to everyone who shifted and pulled them on. Mason was loaded into the back of the SUV and it took off towards the wolf run hospital on the other side of the palace. Alex’s eyes finally landed on mine and his were still black as night. I shrunk away from him as he stalked towards me. He jerked me up off the ground and drug me around to the side of the car. “Alex please I didn’t mean…,” I started.   “Enough!,” he bellowed, “There will be a discussion when we return to the palace. Now get in the car.”    He really didn’t give me an option as he pushed me into the back seat.  He walked around to the drivers side and with a simple “out” Bianca scurried to the back seat beside me. Alex got into the drivers side and the warriors left jumped in where they could fit. The ride back was quiet but tense. Bianca held my hand the whole drive back. I knew I was in for it when we arrived back at the palace.
