Fight

Acelynns POV   Alex wasted no time getting out of the car. We followed slowly behind him and found him waiting in the foyer. His eyes were still dark as he glared down at us. He spoke first, “Bianca, follow Holly to get your things. I’ll have some guards follow you home to make sure you return safely.”   My face fell, “You are sending her home? She just got here,” I said.   He didn’t respond to me. He turned, walking up the stairs. Anger boiled up inside of me. He was treating me like a child again. I followed him up the stairs. I had to almost run to keep up with him. He went into his office, and I followed, slamming the door behind me. “You are not going to..,” I started, but he spun around and cut me off.  “Don’t even start! My friend is in the hospital right now and could die because of you. Do you not think before you act. Your actions have consequences. Bigger ones now. All you have to do is follow the f*****g rules!” he yelled at me.   “I am not a child! I am a human and want to live my life. You can not keep me trapped here. I never wanted to be the Queen!” I yelled back.   “It’s a package deal, Acelynn. You love me! You mated with me! You decided to live this life with me.” he replied.    “I don’t love you! I don’t even know you. I mated with you because I thought it was what I was supposed to do! If you want someone to bow down to you, then reject me! I’d rather die than be stuck here with you!” I screamed.   For a moment, I thought I saw a hurt expression flash over his face. I was breathing heavily. What I had said finally registered with me, and I did feel a pang of regret. What was scary was how quickly his face changed to stone. He sat down in his chair behind his desk. “If that is how you feel, then I will not force you to be around me for another moment. I’ll have your things moved to another room in the palace. Unfortunately, since we did, mate, you are not safe and can not leave. If you do not want to fulfill your duties as my mate, then I will find someone else to be Queen,” he said coldly.    I would not cry in front of him. I looked down at the floor. “You are excused. Holly is waiting to take you to your room,” he said, not giving me a chance to respond.   I looked up at him. He wouldn’t look at me but instead was shuffling through papers on his desk. I just barely made it out of his office and shut the door before my tears started to fall. Holly was standing there. She said nothing as she turned and started walking down the hallway. I followed her as she led me to the farthest room from Alexander’s. It was the smallest bedroom I had seen in the palace but still bigger than mine at home. It was beautifully decorated in the same dark greens as Alexander’s room. I wondered if he had put me here on purpose so that I would have to think of his room. I sat down on the bed with my head in my hands as I cried silently. Maids worked to put my clothes away, and once they were done, they to left me alone.   Alexanders POV  I could feel her anguish as my own heart felt like it was being ripped out of my chest. The way she was reacting made me think or at least hope she did not mean what she had said. I had hated to hurt her, but something had to give. She had to come to terms with her life now. I hoped she would come to me soon, but only time would tell.  I could still feel her sadness as I made it back to my room. I stood at the end of the bed staring at the spot where she should be lying. I stood there, feeling her sadness run through me. Finally,  her feelings calmed as she fell asleep. I climbed into bed, rolling on my side to face Acelynn’s side. I pulled her pillow to my chest, inhaling her scent deeply. I eventually was able to fall asleep myself.
