LANA'S POV
I watched as my father paced around, in what seemed like anger and disappointment. The two things I had tried for so long to avoid getting from him. He suddenly halted his steps, making me glance at my mother who stood beside me, looking very worried. He turned to us and muttered a few words that sounded like 'excuse me', before walking away.
"Mom!" I choked out the tears that I had been holding in for some time. "He's disappointed in me." I could feel the cold shiver run down my spine the moment I said that. "He is disappointed in me. I tried so hard not to make him feel that way about me, but look how I failed."
"No no no..." Mom crouched to my level and assisted me up to my bed. "Do not say that. Your father..."
"Would he hate me now? Would he leave me?"
"My goodness!"
