Tyler's p.o.v

Fùćk, fùćk, fùćk. I am so fùćked. Gwinny can't be my mate. "Why not?" My wolf growls. "She's a little girl. She's too young." I tell him. "Right now, but she won't always stay that young. She is going to grow up. We can wait for her and just take care of her for now." I block him out. I need to talk to my father so I link him to come to my room. I pace back and forth while I wait. He knocks on my door and I open it for him to come in. "What's wrong son, I can feel how worried you are." he says. "Dad, I don't know what to do." I tell him. I rub my hand down my face. "So we went for a run and Jax caught a scent so we followed it and it led us to the Luck's home." I say. He waits for me to continue. "Gwinny..umm..Angel is my mate dad, but she's too young for me." I tell him. He frowns. "So you don't want her to be your mate? Are you planning on rejecting her since she is too young for you?" He asks me and my wolf growls. "I don't know what to do dad." I say and he laughs. "Son, you know exactly what to do. Not everyone mated to eachother is the same age. Some people are almost 10 years apart. You grandparents have a big age difference. The age difference with mom and I is even more than you and Angel son. Once I found out she was my mate I waited for her to turn 18 and then that was that." He tells me. I know their story, but we can't all be perfect like dad. "The good news is that there's no rush. Live your life. Better yourself. Turn into the man you want to be. You have time to decide what you want to do about Angel, just remember mates are sacred for a Lycan. Not everyone gets one." He tells me. I stay quiet. I know that is true. Many people in the kingdom take on chosen mates because they never find their mates or years pass and they get very lonely. Dad's right though I have time to think about it. "Thanks dad for hearing me out and helping me calm down. I was freaking out " I tell him. "No need to freak out son, now go to sleep, mom has a huge party planned for you tomorrow. Goodnight" he says walking out the door. "Goodnight dad" I say "oh and congratulations" he says and closes the door. Jax and I decide to keep our mate to ourselves for now. No-one has to know that we found her already. With all of these thoughts swirling in my head I fall asleep.

I wake up later to someone banging on my door. Sebas pushes the door open and Eli is hot on his toes. "Happy Birthday" she yells. "Thanks" I tell her. "I thought we were going to find you in here with 2 females celebrating" Sebas says wagging his eyebrows. Eliana glares at him. "He's not a pig like you Sebas" she says and I laugh. These 2 are too much. "Tell them about our mate so they can help protect her" Jax tells me, but I decide against it. "We said we were keeping her all to ourselves for now" I tell him. "Why are you embarrassed of her?" He asks me and I block him. It's not that. I just. I don't know what it is. We go to the kitchen where mom has a huge breakfast spread. There's also balloons everywhere. Hey we are having breakfast with some of your favorite people. I invited Angela and her family and all of your cousins" mom says. I tense. Fùćk, does that mean Gwinny will come over? I start to panic. But calm myself down because I remember that she doesn't know and won't know for a very long time. Maybe ever. My wolf growls at that thought. I sigh and sit at the table. Pretty soon people start coming in. "Oh no" mom says sad. "Angela said to tell you happy birthday, but she and Angel aren't feeling good so they won't be coming over" she tells me. "Yeah moms going through it because of that piece of §hìt" Eliana says. I guess she already knows. Finnick comes in looking mad aśš helľ. "Eli, come here, we need to go to moms right now" he tells her and grabs her and drags her out. Sebas rushes behind them. I sigh. I wish I could go be there for Gwinny. My wolf snorts, but I ignore him. I see Sammuel and Marissa come in. Why the fùćk are they here? I think to myself. "To keep up with appearances" Dad links me. I swear this man is inside my head. I let it go and just have breakfast. I am going to go to the Luck's house after. I need to make sure that they are all okay. "Here's your gift from mom and I" Dad tells me and hands me a small box. I open it and it's a key. "Go outside" I head out and there's a brand new motorcycle parked outside with a big red bow on it. "Sweet" I say. "Thank you guys" I say and hug them both. I run upstairs to shower and get dressed. I finish in record time and go downstairs. I am about to go to Gwinny's house when Marissa stops me. "Hey sexy. Want to open your present?" She asks me. I look at her and shake my head and run out before she can stop me. I don't want shìt from her.

I knock on the door and Gwinny answers. One look at her face and I can tell she is crying. Fùćk. "What's wrong Gwinny?" I ask her. She steps out and walks closer to me. "It's just they found out that dad left us for his secretary and her daughters and now he is living with them and mom is taking it really bad." She whispers. "I'm sorry" I say and open my arms out for her to give her a hug. She comes to me and as soon as we touch I feel the tingles. She looks up at me for a moment, but looks back down and I just squeeze her tight. "I think she feels it too" Jax says excited. He is wagging his tail like a love sick puppy already. I grab her chin and push her face up so she can look at me. It's then that I realize I am going to accept her. I never want to see this look on her face ever again. I will go and become a good man for her. We are young and there's time. I will be here to protect her always. "Please stop crying Gwinny, everything will be okay, I promise" I tell her. She nods and grabs my hand and pulls me inside with her to where everyone else is at. I sit quietly in the corner. I watch my mate go and hug her sister while she cries. I can't believe that man could just walk out on them like this. Their mom looks a mess. I link my mom to come over. Maybe she can help. "I do not want any of you" Finnick says pointing at his sisters and mom "looking for that man ever. You need something you come to me." He tells them. I smile. Just like him to take care of them. He always has. I remember a couple of years ago Eliana was getting beat up daily at school by some girl so Finnick tracked down her older brother and beat him up and told him he would do it everyday until the girl left his sister alone. Well, it never happened again. Not even 5 minutes later mom comes in and is updated on everything. She is livid. But mom being mom calms everyone down and shoos us all away so she can have time alone with her friend. Finnick tells Sebas and I to go with him. He wants to talk warrior business along with club business since I am going to be joining. I also need to tell him about Sammuel and all of that bulls*t. I hate that this even happened, but at least I still have my bro's, Finnick and Sebas. For some reason, losing Sammuel as a friend didn't hurt like I thought it would.
