"Are you hungry?" Ace asked softly while we sat comfortably under the shade of a large tree at the edge of the clearing. His back rested against the sturdy trunk, and I was nestled between his legs, feeling the warmth of his body against mine.
"Yes," I admitted with a small laugh, "but I want to stay here a little longer."
I snuggled deeper into his chest, inhaling his calming scent as his arms tightened around me. It felt like nothing else in the world existed except us and the tranquility of this secluded meadow.
