Roxy It had been a week since my encounter with Ace, and it had been torture for both of us. Every time I crossed paths with him, he looked so pained, his eyes practically begging me to talk to him. But I couldn’t. My whole life had been about training, rebuilding a broken pack, and enduring sleepless nights wondering what it felt like to have a mom. But none of that had ever been as hard as this. I was grateful for the long training hours, even if I was just 'observing.' They helped take my mind off things. Back at the house, I kept myself busy by chatting with Lilly or watching movies until I fell asleep. Today was another training day, and I couldn’t hide how relieved I felt. I desperately needed to hit something. Aiden, ever the early bird, had already woken me up—his usual habit.
