MANILA. Roaring sound of the thunder can be heard even if she covers her ears with a pillow. As she sit devastated, she saw the picture frame beside her; the love of her life. She got her coat and even it can't cover her hands that full that results for her to shiver in the cold air, she still continues to get her keys and run to their garage to get to her car and drive as fast as she can as if there's no tomorrow waiting for her. "If risking everything will bring you back, I would risk every single bit of my life for us to do our final eclipse, Sol." 12:37 PM— Every thump of her heels was atleast giving every people on the airport an eerie feeling. Blood was visible in her white dress and her face was not to be recognized because of her scar that opened up because of the accident. "Sol Montemayor!" As she screamed there was a tall handsome man approaching her. "Eraluna, what happened to you?!" As he worriedly checked every inch of her body, she smiled. "I finally got you back, Sol." There was nothing but a victorious smile on her face. As the medics arrives, she lost her strength. She passed out. "And if me giving myself to them would make you safe Eraluna, I would give in." "She's in a critical condition, Sir. She lost a lot of blood in that car accident. We are doing all that we can to revive your girlfriend." The doctor pat his shoulder as he cries a river. "She's not my girlfriend, but please save her." As he beg, there is she fighting for her life. "Derlaire Sol Montemayor, look what you've done!" The voice of the old man sent shivers to him as of that moment he knew he f****d up, bigtime. "Chairman.." he uttered. "Leave!!" It echoed to the hallway and everyone looked at them. He doesn't want to, but he needs to leave. Sol is always the problem, so he needs to get himself out of the equation for it to work, and that's how life circulates. As he walks away, there was someone who's staring at him with pity outside the door. "Apologies won't be accepted when she's gone, knowing that you're the reason why she took it too far, Solomon." That familiar voice brought back all the hatred he has been hiding for 6 years. "It wouldn't have been like this, Reese when in the first place you agreed to the marriage! You could've changed all her perspective in life!" He handled everything at that moment; himself and his anger. "I can't just agree to it, Sol. Even if you try to erase everything to her, her heart will answer every unknown question that you will ask to her, because you're in it, Sol! You're her system." He reciprocated the anger. Bits and bits it killed me. Silence filled the operating room as the line on the machine tuned and lined straight. Panic was sensed. Rushing everything for them to save the next president of the country. "Hi, I'm Eraluna." A tall girl approached me as she has a cigarette in her mouth, unlit. She then sat beside me on the bench. "I'm Sol." That moment we smiled at each other. "What a coincidence, the moon and the sun collided." As she looks up, you can see the reflection of the orange sky on her beautiful hazelnut eyes. 2 beautiful sceneries I wish I could stare at everyday starting at that moment. "Can you light my cigarette?" She asked nicely and I shook my head. "I don't smoke, and that's bad for the health." I took her cigarette and threw it on the bin. I watched her with my peripheral vision as she glares at me. "Where are you from? You look familiar." She asked still looking at me. "I'm from Spain, you?" "Manila." As I want to still talk to her, I noticed the bodyguards of my father. That's the cue that it's time to go home. "I need to go now, nice to meet you, Eraluna." I turned for us to face each other. She smiled sweetly and nod her head. "Til' we meet again, Sol." "Goodbye, Eraluna." I waved at her and proceeded to go to our car as the guards opened the door for me. "Dios mío, está en el protocolo que no puedes salir de palacio, Sol." My father blasted the moment I entered the door of our house. My goodness it's in the protocol that you cannot go out of the palace, Sol. "Lo siento, papá." I knelt and he nodded. There was nothing but fear every time that he would yell at me for doing the things I love. I wanted every piece of the legos in the store for my collection. I learned how to earn in an early age, I would save up my money for recess in our class. But the day that I earned the money to buy my dream, there was Reese, crying to our father. I learned how to give him everything that he wants from me, to the point that in love, I chose to give him the love of my life; Eraluna. It was a beautiful afternoon when they gathered an early dinner in our garden. Only close friends of the family were invited. But a very unexpected guest crashed in. "Pluto!!" Screamed the girl as she tries to approach her dog. But by the time that I got her dog, he landed on top of my brother. "¡oh Dios mío!" My father yelled out in anger. "Beautiful party crasher, huh?" He assisted her up with a smile on his face. He apologized to my family as she approached me shyly to get her dog. The moment she got it, she ran as fast as she could. Cute. I had no exact words when my father ordered me to go to the operating room. They said she's now stable and the moment she opened her eyes, she uttered my name. I was shaking the moment I opened the door. There she was, too many machines connected to her. "Hi, Sol." With weakness in her voice, she still pronounced it the way I know that would automatically give me comfort and butterflies. In that place, time, and person, I knew that on that standpoint, it was our eclipse.
