Chapter 13

1512 Words

13 Lois Maria Santini, usually called Mary, was abandoned by her father at age seven. At age fifteen, the police and Child Care Services swooped into her mother’s apartment one evening and trotted Mary off to Foster Care, supposedly because her mother had been arrested for some reason, but this was never confirmed to Mary. Her first foster care placement was terminated abruptly when she complained to her foster care supervisor that the man of the house was harassing her with offers to teach her about s*x. Her second foster care placement was terminated abruptly when the nice family’s teenage son would not stop hounding her about climbing into bed with him. With no other suitable home placements available to her Mary was sent to a Temp House, which was in effect a bunk house for children
