Connie did not want to risk sharing with Carson any of the details from her brief conversation with the soul of Zianos when Cammi might overhear their discussion, so she promised she would fill him in on the details after Cammi was asleep in the evening. When their television movie ended at ten o’clock Connie checked Cammi’s room and found her sound asleep.
“Out like a light,” she advised Carson on her return to the living room.
“Good. Finally. So, how did it go?”
“I decided I would sit on the floor with my back against the side of Cammi’s bed and facing her table and chair set. I figured if Zianos visited her as a playmate then his spirit was likely the height he was when he passed away and I did not want to tower over him by standing up.”
