Cheng Nuo in Danger

1660 Words
"Let me tell you!" Whether human or vampire, Jesse would not allow anyone to get close to Su Yixia. Coldly, he stepped forward, grabbing Su Yixia’s hand, glaring maliciously at Cheng Nuo. "Su Yixia no longer loves you. The person she loves is me!" Su Yixia wanted to explain, but what came out of her mouth only hurt Cheng Nuo more. "Cheng Nuo, I’m sorry. I don’t love you anymore. The one I love is Jesse!" Even more absurd, when she tried to pull her hand away from Jesse, she found her body no longer obeyed her commands! She knew all of this was Jesse’s doing! "Xiao Yi, if this is your choice, I can let go! I once said that if one day you no longer loved me, I wouldn’t cling to you!" Cheng Nuo’s heart was completely shattered. Holding back his pain, he turned and walked away. "Cheng Nuo!" Su Yixia tried to run after him, but Jesse, with a wicked smile, pulled her back. "Xiao Yi, you can’t go!" "Jesse, why are you doing this?!" Su Yixia was truly disgusted by Jesse’s actions. Angrily, she yanked her hand away from him. "Why are you controlling my mind? Why force me to say those things? I can handle my own affairs!" "Xiao Yi, you’re mad at me for a human like him?" Jesse, too, was displeased. "Jesse, I hate that self-righteous look of yours, hate the way you manipulate others. You’ll never understand how it feels!" Su Yixia glared at Jesse in frustration before turning and running away. No matter what, she had to explain things to Cheng Nuo. Even if they couldn’t be together anymore, she didn’t want them to part with bitterness. After all, over the past year, the feelings between her and Cheng Nuo weren’t something that could just disappear. Jesse watched Su Yixia’s departing figure, anger flashing in his eyes. It seemed he wouldn’t let Cheng Nuo go so easily! Meanwhile, Cheng Nuo, utterly disheartened, walked toward the school gate with heavy steps, not noticing the approaching van. The van suddenly stopped in front of Cheng Nuo. Before he could react, a group of masked men in black jumped out, covering his nose with an ethanol-soaked cloth. Within seconds, they dragged him into the van. Strangely, the large campus gate was deserted; not even the guard was in sight. No one saw Cheng Nuo being kidn*pped. "Cheng Nuo! Cheng Nuo!" Su Yixia arrived at the school gate, only to see a van driving away, with no sign of Cheng Nuo. Her heart instantly sank. Over the past year at Kingsley Academy, Cheng Nuo had been the school’s most popular boy. Many girls had crushes on him, but he had only fallen for her. His love for her had always been attentive and selfless. She knew he loved her deeply. Yet she couldn’t understand why she no longer felt that spark with Cheng Nuo. She couldn’t love him anymore. What confused her even more was that her mind was now filled with thoughts of Jesse! She didn’t want to be with Jesse, but her heart kept telling her that she should be with him. What was wrong with her?! … Cheng Nuo, now unconscious, lay in the van. He blinked groggily, slowly waking to see several figures above him. One of them seemed vaguely familiar, as if he had seen him before, but he couldn’t quite make it out. He suddenly noticed a small iron rod on the floor. In an effort to wake himself up, he grabbed it and struck his head hard. The sharp pain hit him instantly, and blood trickled down his forehead. Finally, he was fully awake. Now able to see clearly, Cheng Nuo was shocked to recognize one of the figures in front of him—it was his cousin, Cheng Feng! "Brother, what are you doing here?!" Cheng Nuo’s brow furrowed deeply. "Didn’t you say you wouldn’t return for three more days?" "I came back early!" Cheng Feng smirked at Cheng Nuo. "You’re quite resilient, Cheng Nuo. Not even ethanol could knock you out for long. Since you’re already awake, I’ll be direct!" "Cheng Feng, what are you trying to do?!" Seeing the strange expression on Cheng Feng’s face, Cheng Nuo knew something was very wrong. "Do you know why I came back early?" Cheng Feng grinned wickedly. "Because three days from now, I’ll be dead in a car accident in the U.S.!" "Brother, what nonsense are you talking about?!" Cheng Nuo’s face paled. The expression on Cheng Feng’s face was terrifying—he had never seen his cousin like this before. The Cheng Feng he remembered was always polite and courteous. Why had he changed so drastically?! "Cheng Nuo!" Cheng Feng sneered. "You’ve lived too comfortably. With such a rich dad and mom, and with Xu Yue, the eldest daughter of the Xu family, loving you so much, you’ve had eighteen good years. Isn’t it time to share some of those good times with me?" "Cheng Feng, what do you want?!" Seeing the hatred in Cheng Feng’s eyes, Cheng Nuo realized the danger and slowly backed toward the door, looking for a way to escape. "What do I want?!" Cheng Feng smiled sinisterly. "Alright, before you die, I’ll let you know why. Your father’s company? My father built it from the ground up. But your father turned his back on him and let him die miserably. I’ve endured for so many years, and now, it’s finally my turn. Starting today, I’ll take your place!" "Cheng Feng, you’re spouting nonsense!" Cheng Nuo couldn’t believe that his cousin had been pretending all these years. His face turned ashen, but he still tried to explain, "Your father committed suicide, and no one can be blamed for that. My father even gave you a better education than me! He always treated you like his own son and sent you to study abroad…" "Shut up!" Cheng Feng interrupted viciously. "That was all just your father’s way of atoning for his sins!" "Cheng Feng—" Cheng Nuo’s eyes caught sight of the door handle. He quickly reached for it, but before he could touch it, pain exploded in his head, and everything went black… At a private hospital. Zuochuan and Cheng Feng stood by a window. They shared many similarities—they were both handsome, and most importantly—they were partners in crime! "Cheng Feng, I think you could easily claim the title of second-most ruthless. No one would dare to claim first place!" Zuochuan lit a cigarette, speaking casually. "Mr. Zuo, you flatter me. The first place should be yours!" Cheng Feng smiled politely. Zuochuan curved his lips into a charming smile and asked, "How’s your witchcraft training going?" "Thanks to your guidance, I’ve mastered it!" Cheng Feng replied. Zuochuan turned to look at Cheng Feng. "So, how do you plan to proceed this time?" "The real show is about to begin!" Cheng Feng grinned maliciously. In the operating room. Several doctors were performing surgery on Cheng Nuo—more accurately, they were dismembering him! Cheng Feng stood right in front of them, watching everything unfold with a blank expression. The bloody scene didn’t faze him at all; in fact, a twisted smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he didn’t blink once. Following Cheng Feng’s orders, the so-called doctors dissected every part of Cheng Nuo’s body and, in the end, peeled off his face. Cheng Feng walked over to the doctors, pointed at the face, and said, "Disinfect it for me. I’ll be wearing it from now on!" Su Yixia would never have imagined that from this moment on, the real Cheng Nuo was already dead. She also had no idea that the Cheng Nuo she would encounter later on was no longer him at all! ... In the villa in City B, the door was wide open. "Ye Xi, you actually have so many blood bags here?!" Adeline followed Cheng Nuo into the villa and was stunned to see so many blood bags in the room. "Yeah," Ye Xi replied with a blank expression. "A friend prepared them for me." "But Ye Xi, have you been relying on these blood bags for sustenance all these years?" Adeline's face gradually grew darker. Ye Xi, as a prince of the vampire clan, had been surviving on blood bags all this time? Although blood bags contained blood, they were nowhere near as satisfying as fresh human blood! "Not always," Ye Xi answered with a calm face. "Sometimes, when I come across people I can't stand, I capture them and drink their blood." "Ye Xi, who is this friend of yours who’s been providing you with blood bags?" To be honest, Adeline was dying to know who had been helping Ye Xi prepare these blood bags. That person must certainly know Ye Xi's true identity, right? "He's my..." Before Ye Xi could finish, loud laughter echoed from outside the door. It was Zuochuan’s voice. "That person is me. Ye Xi, I never expected your kin would arrive so early!" "Zuochuan!" Ye Xi's brows furrowed tightly as soon as he heard the voice. He dashed toward the door at lightning speed, trying to rush out, but was immediately repelled by a powerful beam of light. The light was hundreds of times stronger than before! He slammed hard against the wall! "Your Highness!" Adeline quickly rushed over to support him. "Are you alright?" "I'm fine!" Ye Xi frowned as he stood up. He approached the door again, holding his breath, and used all his strength to try and break through the barrier once more. But this time, just like before, he was thrown back, blood spurting from his mouth. "Hahaha, do you really think my barrier is so easily broken?" Cheng Nuo, with a blank expression, suddenly appeared at the doorway, flashing a sinister smile at Ye Xi and Adeline inside the room.
