She wanted to escape, but his strong arm was still wrapped around her waist, making it impossible for her to break free.
"Are you afraid?" For the first time, Ye Xi found himself interested in a human. The moment he saw her face, something stirred within him. How could he control himself from sucking her blood?
He didn’t understand why she attracted him so much.
She seemed different from other humans!
For some reason, he felt she might help him recover his lost memories.
“N-no, I’m not afraid!” Su Yixia was terrified, but she forced herself to remain calm.
She didn’t know why, but when she looked at his impossibly beautiful face and his mesmerizing deep blue eyes, she felt like he wouldn’t harm her.
"Aren’t you afraid I’ll drain all your blood?" Ye Xi slowly leaned closer to her neck. His deep blue eyes suddenly turned blood red, and his fangs emerged instantly. "Not afraid at all?"
Su Yixia shut her eyes tightly, trembling in fear.
However, the pain she anticipated didn’t come.
When she opened her eyes again, Ye Xi had returned to his devilishly handsome appearance, his deep blue eyes gazing at her with a faint smile. “Are you sure you’re not afraid?”
“Of course, I am!” Su Yixia nervously swallowed. How could she not be afraid of such a beautiful vampire??
“Don’t worry!” Ye Xi’s expression suddenly became cold again. “I won’t drink your blood for now!”
“You really won’t drink my blood?!” Su Yixia finally breathed a sigh of relief after hearing those words.
Ye Xi’s deep, alluring eyes turned blood-red again, and he locked his dark gaze with hers. A beam of red light flashed into her eyes, controlling her mind once more, making her forget the fact that he was a vampire. “In your eyes, I’m just the new heartthrob at school. You will have no memory of anything related to vampires!”
The next moment, Su Yixia fainted.
Ye Xi gently picked her up and laid her down on the soft bed.
The door to the room suddenly opened, and Zuo Chuan walked in, his expression solemn. Looking at the rather ordinary girl lying on the bed, he seemed puzzled. “Ye Xi, is this the girl you don’t want to harm?”
“Please leave!” Ye Xi was displeased with Zuo Chuan’s unannounced entrance and coldly ordered him out.
“Do you really think making her forget you’re a vampire will prevent her from discovering the truth? One day, she’ll realize something’s wrong. What will you do then?” Zuo Chuan didn’t leave but instead questioned Ye Xi.
“Please leave!” This time, Ye Xi’s voice was louder, unwilling to answer Zuo Chuan’s question.
“If you can’t handle this, I’ll take care of it!” Ignoring Ye Xi’s anger, Zuo Chuan quickly approached Su Yixia, his face expressionless as he pulled a dagger hidden in his sleeve, ready to strike her.
In a flash, Ye Xi snatched the dagger from Zuo Chuan’s hand and threw it to the ground with force. His eyes turned blood-red, and his fangs reappeared. “If you dare harm her, I’ll kill you!”
“You’ll regret this!” Zuo Chuan gave Ye Xi a long, displeased look before turning and leaving.

“Xia, where did you go?” Su Yixia hadn’t returned to the dormitory all night, and Jing Jing was almost frantic. She had called Su Yixia’s phone multiple times, but it kept showing as unreachable. Finally, in the middle of the night, the phone connected. Without waiting for Su Yixia to speak, Jing Jing urgently asked, “Are you okay?”
“Don’t worry, she’s fine.” Ye Xi’s cold face showed a hint of unseen tenderness as he looked at Su Yixia, who was sleeping peacefully on the bed. He spoke coldly into the phone.
Even through the phone, Jing Jing could feel a bone-chilling coldness. Moreover, she was genuinely curious. Other than Cheng Nuo, Su Yixia didn’t have any other male friends. So, who was the man who answered the phone?
Unable to contain her curiosity, Jing Jing asked, “Who are you? Is Xia with you?”
“She’s with me right now,” Ye Xi replied expressionlessly. “She’s safe!”
“Who are you?” Jing Jing wanted to ask more, but the line went dead before she could finish. When she tried calling back, the phone was unreachable again.
“Damn!” Jing Jing was terrified, her pupils dilated in shock. “Xia might really be in trouble with the serial killer!”
Ignoring the late hour, Jing Jing grabbed a jacket and rushed out the door.
Outside the school gate, a chilling wind blew, making Jing Jing shiver.
The street was eerily quiet, not a soul in sight. It was frighteningly silent!
Jing Jing was terrified, and thinking of the serial killer rumors, she dared not go any further. After hesitating for a moment, she turned and ran back to the school.
Back in the dormitory, she could only clasp her hands together and pray for Su Yixia. “Xia, you have to be okay!”

The next morning.
In the luxurious villa.
On the soft bed, Su Yixia was sleeping soundly, a faint smile on her face, as if she were having a sweet dream.
“Ring, ring, ring!” Her phone on the nightstand suddenly rang, pulling her out of her dream.
“Oh no, I’m going to be late!” Su Yixia quickly sat up and grabbed her phone. Seeing that it was already 7:30, she hurriedly got out of bed to put on her shoes.
But the next moment, she was stunned!
She didn’t seem to be in her dorm room!
This was a European-style bedroom, and everything in it looked expensive. Where was she?
As Su Yixia stood bewildered, the handsome Ye Xi walked in with a cold expression. “You’re awake!”
“Why am I here?!” Su Yixia asked warily, looking at the incredibly handsome Ye Xi before her.
She clearly remembered that she encountered trouble after leaving the hospital last night, and then, nothing!
Could it be that he saved her last night?
“Last night, I saved you,” Ye Xi, seemingly able to read her thoughts, replied.
“Thank you for saving me!” Su Yixia was always polite to those who helped her, so she expressed her gratitude. “I need to get to school, so I’ll be going now.”
“Wait!” Ye Xi called out to her unhurriedly. “Let’s go together!”
“Huh?” Su Yixia didn’t quite understand.
“Let’s go to school together!” Without waiting for a response, Ye Xi grabbed her hand and led her out of the villa.
His hand was so cold! Cold with no warmth at all! It felt like the hand of a dead person!
Su Yixia curiously glanced at his hand, her brow furrowing.
His hand was so pale, almost transparent, as if the blood vessels were visible. Even more astonishing was the shiny skull ring on his index finger.
For some reason, the sight of that ring sent a chill down her spine.
“Are you looking at my ring?” Ye Xi didn’t like people staring at his ring, so he asked, displeased.
“Um, your ring is quite unique,” Su Yixia replied with a smile.
Ye Xi suddenly let go of her hand, his voice cold enough to frighten anyone. “Don’t do that again!”
“It’s just a ring. Is it that big of a deal?” Su Yixia muttered, staring at the ground in dissatisfaction.
She genuinely felt there was something wrong with this beautiful demon—something she couldn’t quite explain.
When Su Yixia looked up again, she noticed he had vanished. She looked around but saw no sign of him, feeling puzzled. “Weren’t we supposed to go to school together? What’s with this guy?!”
Su Yixia had to take a taxi to school by herself, but as soon as she stepped onto the playground, she was surrounded by a group of hostile girls!
Each of them wore an expression of hatred, as if she owed them a great debt.
“Excuse me, could you move?” Su Yixia tried to sidestep them and head to class.
But as she took a step forward, the girls blocked her path, not allowing her to pass. Each one glared at her viciously:
“You b***h! You’re the reason Cheng Nuo is still in the hospital. Why don’t you just die?”
“Su Yixia, don’t think just because Cheng Nuo likes you, you can do whatever you want. We’re telling you now, we hate you!”
“Su Yixia, you’re asking for a beating!”
“Su Yixia, you’re dead!”
...
“Hey, what’s your problem? I don’t even know any Cheng Nuo!” Su Yixia was truly angry now. Why did everyone keep mentioning Cheng Nuo? She was at her limit!
“How dare you say you don’t know Cheng Nuo!” A curvaceous beauty stepped forward, glaring at Su Yixia and shouting angrily.
Su Yixia recognized her as the school’s notorious queen bee—Ye Zimo!
“Ye Zimo, what do you want?” Su Yixia stood her ground, unafraid.
In her memory, she had very little contact with Ye Zimo, almost no interaction at all. She truly couldn't understand why Ye Zimo would bring so many people here to block her path.
"Su Yixia, stop pretending!" Without saying another word, Ye Zimo slapped Su Yixia hard across the face. "I really don't get why Cheng Nuo would like a girl like you."
"Hey, Ye Zimo, why are you hitting people for no reason?" Su Yixia was already annoyed about being slapped by Xu Yue last time, but at least she used to be friends with Xu Yue. But Ye Zimo? What right did she have to hit her?
"I'll hit you if I want to, so what?!" Ye Zimo was infuriated just looking at Su Yixia's shabby appearance. "I just don't understand why Cheng Nuo would like a country bumpkin like you?!"
"I already told you, I don't even know Cheng Nuo!" Su Yixia was genuinely bewildered. What was wrong with the world? Why did everyone insist she knew Cheng Nuo? And she hadn't even lost her memory!
