Chapter 1
The ray of light of the moon reflected on Kimberly's face, which she hated. She used her pillow to cover her face, but it was of no use, since the light of the moon reflected on her face, she sat up searching for her phone to know what it was at the time. After some minutes of searching, she saw the phone 2:04am she murmured angrily how much she hated it when the moon came to say hello and her problem waking her up. She stared blankly at her phone. Deep down, she wanted to cry, to scream, telling the world she's tired of life and want to meet her parent who had died so many years ago, for the past years she acted, acted like everything was alright that she has no problem ans she's perfect, but no she isn't perfect, how she long to tell people about her past, having sleepless night, trying to cover up for the mistake she did so many years ago that still hurt her deep down she believes she's ugly, a murderer and a lier people envisage her perfect she is, but no they won't understand that she is like an octopus that usees it ink to defend himself against predators. She had thought about it so much. Why couldn't she be like her friend Silver, who is innocent, pure and free. Tears threatened to fall but she held them back. No, she would not cry this night, that was how her life had been destined to be. She's not going to shed any more tears. Her tears can't change anything. Maybe it was written in the book of death.that she is going to die of depression, anger, pain, confusion and many more. Silver is more than a friend and helped in many ways she can, but her help can't break the strong wall that has been built in her heart. The only way for the wall to break is when she joins her parents. Yeah, only then will she die with her problems. She looked at her reading table that was a few meters away from her bed. That was her mother's reading table, which always reminded her of her parent's death. Her mother once told her, "The best way to predict your future is to create it." But yet her future still remains unknown, dark, mysterious and obscure.she wanted to sit on her mother's chair and lay her head on the table, dreaming about her mother telling her about the orion and the dark and inside out, how much she missed her parent's She forced herself to walk to her reading table, she sat down and reached for her journal. After putting on her lens, she flickered some pages and saw a drawing that made her recall a statement said by Layla: "The best and most beautiful thing in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. The most elegant people who have known are those who have known defeat, known struggle, known loss and found the way out of these depths and if you cannot do great things in a great way." Oh! How she wanted to speak to Layla, but yeah, she's far gone, where all her life-saving won't be of much use. She held her slim golden pen that dangles helplessly in her hand. After standing at her journal, she decided to write. She wanted her journal to be full of her sweet, bitter experiences. Grazing at the book once more, she composed a poem about an old woman who was ignored and neglected by her neighbors. They thought she was a witch and ate all her children. She stopped writing when her phone rang. She wondered who was calling by this time. She checked her wristwatch. A minute past four, she muttered and checked the caller's ID, and hopefully it was silver. "Hello," Silver said. "Hi, is there any problem?" Kimberly asked. "Nope, but why aren't you asleep either?" "Couldn't sleep " Kimberly replied, "haunted again by your nightmares?" "Maybe, what about you "Kimberly asked, "ughhhh girls stuff "silver said playfully, "aren't I a girl also no a lady " "but you are supposed to understand lady's stuff" silver said, "oh I get, dumb me so how are you feeling?" Kimberly asked "much better after taking some prescribed drugs ........are you going to be free tomorrow ? Silver asked, "Hmm, I don't know what it is about? "It's not what we can discuss on the phone." "Okay, I'll try, "Kimberly said. "Okay, Berl, goodbye. "Silver said, "Hey, I don't like that name, Kim is fine by me "kimberly said "ooh silver said berl you can't tell me the name I should call you " silver said playfully, "whatever, goodbye"kim said and disconnected the call. Kim stood up from her chair and walked toward the window, placing her hand on the iron that protected the inner glass. She looked at her little garden, small, but yet beautiful, heaving a sigh, she turned away from the window and looked at her mother's picture hung beside her reading table. She wondered where her sister freya was. Even since the death of her parents, freya blamed her for killing their parents and vowed never to forgive her. Freya was her only hope and family. She reminisced how little freya used to call her my big sister, always telling her that she would not leave her side no matter the situation they found themselves in. Yeah, that was the word of a 12-year-old freya. But now she has no clue where her sister was. The last time she heard of Freya, she was out of state, maybe living in England. She shifted her gaze to her beloved father's photo, a very brave man who is ready to risk his life to save others. Right from time, she knew her father never feared death.he always said, "Death is not the opposite of life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us when we live." That was her father's everyday ringing tone, but grandpappy would say, "There is no grief like the grief that does not speak," her father and grandpappy wise word is not something she is going to forget easily.if anyone should tell her that the people she loved and cherished so much would be six feet down she would never believe it." rest in peace pa and ma" she said wiping her tears away. Well, it was time to face a new day. At 6:00am her alarm rang loudly.
