Ntombi.M:Restless Soul Horror movie. Losing a child is painful but being haunted by your child is even worse. This movie talks about a guy who forced his side chic to terminate the pregnancy because he didn't want his name to be dragged into the mud. And he also didn't want to be seen as a disloyal husband to his wife. Fani was a happily married man to Sintu, with two daughters Khwezi and Zuzu, until his side chic Zenzo fell pregnant and he forced her to have an abortion. Little did he know about the consequences that will haunt his family for they shall live. All that the dead child ever wanted was a name and reasons why it was denied a chance to live. Scene 1 Fani is in the restaurant with Zenzo his side lady, having a great time since his wife is away on business. Zenzo : "This is the greatest time I've ever had." Eyeing Fani with her seductive eyes. Fani : "You should get used to it ‘cause we still gonna have plenty of good times together." He said smiling. Zenzo : "Oh really now? And what about your (pointing at his ring finger)?" Fani : "Is she here right now?" Zenzo : "No" Fani : "Then don't worry about her." Zenzo : "Where's she anyway?" Fani : "Away on business. So she says." Rollin his eyes. Zenza : "Sounds like you don't believe that." Fani : "Mxm. Who cares? She's probably having some good time (winks), but not as good as we do." Zenzo : (blushes) "Stop it" Fani : "What?" Zenzo : "But atleast she makes you happy." Fani : "Yah she does. And so do you." Zenzo : "When is she coming back?" Fani : "Some time next week. Why, do you have anything in mind?" Zenzo : "No. I'm just asking" (staring at her cocktail) Fani : "You know what I'm thinking?" Zenzo : "Nah, What?" Fani : "I think we should take this fun somewhere else?" Zenzo : (confused) "Where?" Fani : (calls a waiter, pays the bill using his card) "Follow me." Zenzo : (rises from her seat and follows him) They get into the car and they drive to their favourite hotel. While still in the car, Sintu calls. Sintu : "Hello honey." Fani : "Hey. Are you good?" Sintu : "Yah I'm fine. Just wanted to let you know that I'm coming home tomorrow." Fani : "Oh" (glances at Zenzo) "At what time?" Sintu : "Uhmm, my flight is at 08:00 am so I'll be there around 12:00 pm. What you doing?" Fani : "I'm driving home from the office." Zenzo : (looks pissed) Sintu : "Ohh ok. Drive safe. Love you." Fani : "Ok, see you tomorrow then." (Hangs up) Zenzo : "We’re going to your house?" Fani : "No." Zenzo : "But that's what you said to your wife." Fani : "Yah ‘to my wife’ that's what I said but it's not where we're heading right now. You know that my house is off limit to you." Zenzo : "ohh" (stares at Fani, disappointed) Fani : (glances at her silently) Scene 2 Sanny stays alone in his parents’ house in the township while they’re staying in the suburbs. Sanny is taking out the garbage when he sees Zuzu pulling up the driveway. Sanny : (Smiling, surprised to see her) "Baby" (Waits for Zuzu to step out of the car so he could greet her properly). "I didn't know you were coming." Zuzu : "Hey babah. How are you?" Sanny : (Smiling) "I'm good. Why didn't you tell me that you were coming?" Zuzu : "I wanted to surprise you. I missed you." Sanny : (Blushing) "I'm indeed surprised." (They hold hands and heads into the house). "So can I get you anything to eat or drink? Zuzu : "I'll have some water for now, thanks bbe." Sanny : "Water coming up for queen Zuzu." Zuzu : (smiles) Sanny : (comes back with a glass of water, but he realises that she wasn't ok judging from the way she was looking, like she's seen a naked president) Zuzu : "Thanks." (accepting a glass with the same expression on her face) Sanny : "Are you alright?" Zuzu : (looks at him wretchedly) Sanny : (gets closer) "My love what's going on?" Zuzu : (sighs) "Babe. I don't know how to put this and how it's gonna sit with you." Sanny : (Looks at her suspiciously) "Go on." Zuzu : "I...I'm…(sips her water). I'm pregnant." Sanny : (suddenly Sanny's expression switched from worried to excited) "Really?" Zuzu : (surprised) "Yes." Sanny : "So why do you look so worried?" Zuzu : "You're not angry? Like I said, I didn't know how you'll take it so I'm surprised when you're happy." Sanny : "But baby, you know I love you right?" Zuzu : (nods) Sanny : "Then why would I be worried? I've always wanted you to be the mother of my kids. You've just made me a proud man." Zuzu : "I'm glad to hear that Sanny. In fact I'm relieved." Sanny : "Ja you should stop stressing. (Rubs her tummy) it's not good for our son." Zuzu : "Son?" Sanny :(Laughs) "Lol. So how far long are you?" Zuzu : "Five weeks" Sanny : "ohh ok." Zuzu : "Mom's coming home tomorrow and I don't know how I'm gonna tell her." Sanny : "Don't worry we'll tell her when the time is right." Zuzu : "Ok thanks. I really don't know what I'll be without you." Sanny : "Come here." (Pulls her closer and kisses her) Scene 3 Fani is now in his house with his daughter Khwezi preparing dinner. Khwezi : "So dad how do you feel now that mom is coming home tomorrow?" Fani : "Ey my daughter you have no idea how excited I am." Khwezi : "So are we gonna prepare something for her homecoming?" Fani : "Ja. I was thinking that when I go fetch her from the airport, you and Zuzu will stay behind and prepare the most special meal for her." Khwezi : "So we gonna have a party?" Fani : "No, nothing fancy. It'll just be something small to welcome her." Khwezi : "Ok daddy I understand you don't want any crowd, I see that." Fani : "Where's your sister anyway?" (Zuzu walks in, in that instance) Zuzu : "Here. I just went to do a little shopping." (placing grocery bags on a kitchen counter. Fani : "Little? Seems like you bought the whole store." (They all laugh) Zuzu : "Oh come on daddy, it's nothing. I also got something for mom." (Holding up a bag) Khwezi : "So sisi, dad was just telling me about tomorrow’s plan." Zuzu : "Oh ok. What is it?" Khwezi : "He suggests that we must have a par..( glances at her dad) dinner for mom." Zuzu : "Ohh a homecoming meal?" Khwezi : "Yep." Zuzu : "Ok, that actually sounds great to me." Khwezi : "Pity no one’s invited." Zuzu : (disgusted) "What's that smell?" Khwezi : "I'm making chicken stew." Fani : "My favourite." Zuzu : (She runs to the bathroom with her hand covering her mouth. suddenly feeling sick) Fani : (confused) Khwezi : (shouts) "Dinner will be ready in few seconds." (she says playfully) Fani : (phone rings) "I'll be in my bedroom. Call me when it's ready." Khwezi : "But dad..." Fani : "Sorry my baby but I have to take this." (Answers the phone) You're not supposed to be calling me. Especially not at this hour." Fani : .....What? Fani : .....Ok we'll talk tomorrow. Nx. (hangs up) Scene 4 Zenzo is in her apartment with her friend Nok’phiwa. Zenzo : (Puts her phone down, disappointed) Nok’phiwa : "And…" Zenzo : "You know I should have known better." Nok’phiwa : "Known what?" Zenzo : "The way he answered his phone, it was like I'm nagging him or something." Nok’phiwa : ""what did he say exactly?" Zenzo : “you're not supposed to be calling me” (looks at Nok’phiwa wretchedly), I mean, I know that we usually text each other but since his wife’s away and knowing we had a great time at the hotel, I just thought that maybe I could call him. But I guess I thought wrong." Nok’phiwa : "ohh my friend, I'm sorry to hear that. But did he agree to meet up with you though?" Zenzo : "Ja he did. But I can tell that he just couldn't wait to hang up the phone. Why is he doing this to me? Why is he treating me like this?" Nok’phiwa : "I'm really sorry. But I'm sure once you tell him the great news tomorrow, he'll treat you differently." Zenzo :(message alert) 'We'll meet at our usual restaurant tomorrow at 10:30. Don't be late. Good night.' Nok’phiwa : "What does it say?" Zenzo : (gives her the phone) Nok’phiwa : (reads message) "Well at least he did write ‘good night’ at the end." Zenzo : (rolls eyes) "I need to be alone." Nok’phiwa : "Are you sure?" Zenzo : "ja" Nok’phiwa : "ok, sweet dreams." (Kiss her forehead and headed for the door.) "Don't let him get to you.
