Chapter 9
It’s been a few days since Izumi met dad. But we still don’t receive any call from him. Maybe dad is busy with his work. After all, he’s currently stationed in Yokosuka which Izumi refused to tell me why he was there. Or maybe he’s trying to solve the case, so then he can see me without any problem. I doubt that it can be easy for him to remove me from being a suspect despite him being the person in charge for the case.
Every day, I always hope that Izumi will bring me news about dad. But he always comes home empty-handed every time I ask him after he comes back from school. I become restless when I didn’t hear anything from dad. I doubt that pestering Izumi every time he comes home will change anything, though. There’s nothing much I can do other than to wait for his call.
