Dr. Arjun Mehta had worked in many hospitals during his career, but the old Ravenshade Hospital felt different the moment he stepped inside. The building had been closed for ten years.Peeling paint covered the walls, and the smell of dampness lingered in the air. The government had recently decided to reopen it as a rural emergency center, and Dr. Arjun was sent to inspect the building.“Just one night,” the caretaker had told him nervously. “Stay if you must… but avoid Room 13.”Arjun laughed it off.He was a doctor, not a child afraid of ghost stories. The WarningAt midnight, while checking patient wards, he noticed something strange.Every room was dusty.Except Room 13.The door was slightly open.Inside, the bed sheets were perfectly arranged… as if someone had just left.Arjun frowned.“Strange,” he murmured. The hospital had no electricity except emergency lights, yet inside the room the monitor suddenly beeped.Beep.Beep.Beep.But there was no patient. The FileOn the table lay an old patient file.Patient Name: UnknownAdmission: October 17, 1998Condition: Severe traumaStatus: Not dischargedArjun turned the page. The doctor's notes ended abruptly with one sentence:"The patient refuses to die."Suddenly, the temperature dropped.A whisper echoed from behind him.“Doctor… you came back…”Arjun slowly turned. The bed was no longer empty.A figure sat on it.Thin.Pale.Eyes completely black. The PatientThe creature smiled slowly.“You left me here,” it said.“I have been waiting… for twenty-eight years.”Arjun’s heart pounded.“I… I’ve never seen you before.”The creature tilted its head unnaturally.“You were the doctor.”“No…”“You pronounced me dead.”Suddenly the lights flickered violently.Arjun remembered something. When he was a medical student, he had visited Ravenshade Hospital during training.A boy had died during surgery.Room 13.The case had been buried. The TruthThe creature stood up.Its bones cracked as if breaking.“I wasn’t dead.”“You closed the file.”“You left.”“You locked the room.”Its voice turned into a horrific echo.“And now… you came back.”The door slammed shut. The hallway outside became silent.MorningWhen the caretaker arrived at sunrise, he found the hospital quiet.Room 13 was open.Inside was an old patient file. But now it had two names.Patient 1: Unknown — Not dischargedPatient 2: Dr. Arjun Mehta — Admitted at 02:17 AMAnd on the bed…Two deep marks on the mattress. As if someone was still lying there.Waiting.

The Last Patient of Room 13 – Part 2
The Last Patient of Room 13 – Part 2 The corridor outside Room 13 was unusually silent that night. Dr. Arjun Sen stood still for a moment, staring at the half-open door. The faint yellow light inside flickered like a dying candle. He could still hear it—the slow, rhythmic tapping he had heard the previous night. Tap… tap… tap… He checked the patient file again. Name: Unknown Age: Unknown Admitted: No record Status: ——— Blank. “Impossible…” he whispered. No hospital system could have a patient without records. Not here. Not in a place as strict as this. Taking a deep breath, he pushed the door open. Inside Room 13 The room smelled different tonight. Not like disinfectant… not like medicine… It smelled old. Like damp walls and forgotten memories. The patient lay on the bed again, covered with the same white sheet. Completely still. But this time, Arjun noticed something new. The IV line was not connected. The monitor beside the bed was off. Yet— Beep… beep… beep… The sound echoed faintly in the room. Arjun’s heartbeat quickened. “That’s not possible…” He stepped closer. “Hello? Can you hear me?” No response. He slowly reached out and pulled the sheet down. The same pale face. Eyes closed. Skin almost grey. But this time… there was something written on his wrist. In red. Not blood… but something darker. A number. 13 The Nurse’s Warning “Sir!” Arjun turned sharply. Nurse Meera stood at the door, her face pale. “I told you not to come here at night,” she said, her voice trembling. “What is this place?” Arjun demanded. “Who is this patient?” Meera hesitated. Then she whispered— “There is no Room 13.” Arjun frowned. “What?” “In official records… this room doesn’t exist. It was sealed years ago.” “Then how am I standing inside it?” Meera didn’t answer. Instead, she slowly pointed toward the wall behind the bed. “Look there…” The Truth on the Wall Arjun turned. At first, he saw nothing. Then the flickering light revealed something scratched into the paint. Dozens of marks. Names. Dates. All carved deep into the wall. And at the center… one sentence repeated over and over: “DON’T LET HIM WAKE UP.” A chill ran down his spine. “Who wrote this?” he asked. Meera whispered— “Patients.” The Story Unfolds Years ago, Room 13 was part of an experimental wing. Terminal patients. No hope. No cure. Until a doctor claimed he could reverse death. Not delay it. Not treat it. But reverse it. At first, the results seemed miraculous. Patients who were declared dead… came back. Breathing. Alive. But something was wrong. They weren’t the same. They didn’t speak. They didn’t blink. And at night… they would all look toward Room 13. As if something inside was calling them. One by one… they disappeared. No discharge. No death certificate. Just… gone. Until one night— The hospital staff heard screaming from Room 13. By the time they broke the door open… Everyone inside was dead. Except one patient. The one on the bed. Back to the Present Arjun slowly turned back toward the patient. His throat felt dry. “You’re saying… he’s been here all this time?” Meera nodded. “Not alive… not dead.” “Then why isn’t this reported?” “Because every doctor who tried… disappeared.” Silence filled the room. Then suddenly— Beep… beep… beep… The monitor turned on. By itself. Arjun froze. The line that was flat just seconds ago— Started moving. The Awakening The patient’s fingers twitched. Slowly. Unnaturally. Arjun stepped back. “No… this isn’t possible…” The patient’s eyes opened. Completely white. No pupils. No emotion. Just… emptiness. Then he smiled. A slow, unnatural smile. And spoke for the first time. His voice was not human. It sounded like many voices speaking at once. “You… came back.” Arjun couldn’t move. “Who… are you?” he whispered. The patient tilted his head. “We were waiting.” Suddenly, the lights went out. Darkness swallowed the room. Meera screamed. And in that darkness— Something moved. Not just on the bed. But behind Arjun. The Final Moment A whisper echoed near his ear. Cold. Close. Too close. “Room 13… needs a doctor.” Arjun turned— But there was nothing there. When the lights flickered back on… Meera was gone. The door was closed. And Arjun was standing alone. Wearing a patient wristband. He looked down. His hands were shaking. On his wrist… written in red— 13 End of Part 2 (Part 3 will reveal what really lives inside Room 13… and why no one ever leaves.)
