What we hoped would be a simple request over the phone and an easy conversation turned into an all-morning event. After exchanging simple pleasantries with the entire Grand Tacoma Council administration, including my introduction to him as the Alpha-in-Waiting for Crescent Woods and for being the latest incarnation of the Phoenix wolf, Alpha James led the discussion into why we had called them in the first place. We talked about the inner turmoil we had had recently with Richard’s faction of rogues who were under false pretenses that they were going to come to power. That, of course, led to us telling Chief Alpha Andrew that we had come across that horrible concoction of venom and Wolf’s Bane and our explanations as to what it would do to a wolf’s system.
