DAY ONE

The sun crept slowly on my bed, to my face.
That's one of the disadvantages of using glass walls.
And damn!
I forgot to close the curtains last night.
It was summer.
We couldn't stop the summer sun from rising even if we knew it would be dead- hot.
My mind slipped to the girl... I mean Seo-Yeon.
When she told me her name, I and Tae-ho laughed for no reason.
Yeah.
We were that stupid.
Ae-Ri couldn't bear seeing I and Seo-Yeon in one room, so she arranged another room for her.
Yeah, that's what I mean by too 'clingy'.
Well it was only one room left in the whole of the Hotel.
It was the most popular five star hotel in the whole of California so you could imagine the visitors it gets.
It was just one room left.
A little room different from the others.
And worst part... Well not for me, but for Ae-Ri.
Was that the room was just next to mine.
This had freaked Ae-Ri alot, but she had to accept it cause she saw that it was better than Seo-Yeon staying in the same room with me.
I had thought it was very good since I had to keep my eyes on her necklace.
Yep.
Am going to steal it.
I mean who in this world would let million of dollars go just like that?
Well definitely not me.
Neither Tae-ho.
Nor you either.
Later we were now at the beach.
We were to commence the trip activities today.
My dad is a big personality in Korean and the CEO of Empire group.
And guess what?
I'm the only son and Heir of everything he owns.
I love money.
You do too.
Empire group had prepared a scheme for this trip.
And today, we were gonna play a game.
A game of volleyball.
We were putting on shorts and grey tops with caps.
I don't really know how to play this stuff tho but I had to team up with Seo-Yeon.
Ae-Ri, got stucked with Tae-ho.
I know she was pissed.
I teamed up with Seo-Yeon because I had to keep an eye on that necklace.
Shortly after, the game had started.
I and Seo-Yeon were playing against Tae-ho and Ae-Ri.
Ae-Ri was so furious she was hitting the ball so that it nearly hit Seo-Yeon.
But luckily, I blocked the ball from hitting her with my hand.
What if that ball had crashed on the necklace and damaged it?
I glared really hard at Ae-Ri and she gulped nervously.
"Would you mind taking off the necklace? It might get broken"
I whispered to Seo-Yeon.
"I promised someone that I would never take it off".
If she had taken it off right there, then definitely, I would have stolen it.
But since she wants to keep it, I won't take a risk of getting this necklace damaged by Ae-Ri.
"I and Seo-Yeon are quiting the game"
I told the coach.
Everyone else gasped.
"You can't quit the game. It's part of the daily activities".
"Well am also part of Empire group decisions"
I said back.
"If you quit the game, you lose all your points and we get them"
Ae-Ri tried to persuade.
"Jeez Ae-Ri no one cares about the points"
Tae-ho stated.
"Fine. You can take our points".
I said and pulled Seo-Yeon along with me.
"Why did you quit out of the game?"
Seo-Yeon asked on our way towards the hotel.
"Umm - cause you looked tired".
I lied.
" I wasn't tired. Besides where are we going now?"
She asked again.
I didn't know what to say so I avoided her eyes and looked down.
I could see her shoes.
They looked so old.
She has been wearing those ever since I met her.
"Shoe shopping!"
I said at once.
"Why? You need new shoes?"
"No fool. You do"
I pulled her to the parking lot and got into one of my dad's car and drove to the mall.
When we got there, I asked her to pick whatever she wanted.
But she wouldn't.
So instead, I went to the shoes section, and got her blue trainers.
Then I helped her take off her old shoes and put on the new ones.
I caught her smiling.
"I can't accept these. My shoes still looks good".
I rolled my eyes.
"They look three times smaller than your feet Seo-Yeon".
"But I could still wear then when I want".
I took her old shoes, and tossed it in the bin.
"Are you crazy?!"
She stood while yelling.
"Let's get you some clothes too".
I ignored her.
I picked the perfect dress for her.
But I didn't show it to her.
She might end up screaming at me in the mall.
Instead, we went back to the hotel.
