Maddie was aligned. There couldn’t have been better news. Somewhere between understanding what had driven all the secrets and lies of her life and having the agency to choose her own path, Madeline had found a way to bond with the wolf within her. I could sense a harmony within her that hadn’t existed when she’d arrived just a few hours ago.
