Chapter 16 - Bingo?

POV - Felix

we entered the lobby again and it was bustling "they're getting ready for Bingo night" she whispered to me "the folks here love their bingo" she laughed dragging me through the hall way. to the left were large double doors with the a paper printed sign saying bingo. i could see through the little windows that there were many people talking and walking around hugging each other as if they were all dear friends.

"it looks great in there" I giggled "I've never played bingo is it fun"

"it's a blast. we will probably miss it tonight but next week I'll bring you in and a we will play a bit" she smiled with an excited twinkle in her eyes "Teresa was the bingo master she bought the game here with us and ran it every Sunday. She was a blast and everyone loved it so we just never stopped"

I wish I had met my mum even more now. She sounded like she was filled with life and joy and I couldn't help but wonder if i would have been too had she raised me "I can't wait"

we continued up the hall Sen was about 5 foot tall but had a strong grip on my arm as she pulled me toward a door at the end of the hall. On top of the bingo room there are 6 more doors after the bingo door. One was a bathroom area and the other 4 private meeting rooms. Sen said the bingo area was a big hall but they deal with a lot of personal matters and smaller events too which is why there were lots of little seperate doors.

The door we entered led to a large office with about 30 desks "Wow you must have a big team here" I said taking it all in. The computers looked to be old and out of date. That was another thing to add to the list with Amelia. suddenly i saw a vampire pop up and run toward me.

He was tall maybe 6 foot 4 and lean generally very attractive. His blonde shaggy hair lay against his forehead falling below is eyebrows and over his red eyes. He was clearly a born vampire looking to be 25 or so but likely much older. He looked at me with shock and said "You sound just like her" his voice was filled with emotion as he looked me up and down "You even look like her" he said his voice almost sounding a bit flirty taking me into a hug. Vampires were known to be an alluring species but he was particularly so. Not my type but he oozed the kind of s*x appeal most people wanted. He likely had many suiters.

"My name is Felix." i couldn't think of what else to say. He had such similar emotion to Sen when it came to my mother but I hadn't heard about them. to me they were strangers. They made me feel safe and welcome but they thought of me as my mother.

"I know I remember when she was picking it out" he laughed calming down. No matter what he said it sounded flirty but other than that is was deep and calm and rolled out in a very smooth way. "your mother helped me after I was displaced in the war. I had lost everything and she helped me get a house and got me a job here to give back. I am one of the full timers here." he said smiling down at me.

"His name is Darius" Sen said rolling her eyes

"Yes sorry forgot for a second about that. You have a blast from the past and all manners go out the door" he laughed slapping his forehead like he was bringing him self back to reality. "You are just like her though, just as beautiful and obviously kind since you are here." he said winking at me.

It didn't make me uncomfortable because I knew he loved my mum just from the way he looked at me. Also he wasn't creepily young which was a new worry of mine when meeting flirtatious vamps.

I think he may have been in love with her. But she saved him and so I can understand. Also based on what Sen said I'm sure she had many admires. Probably the only reason my dad even came here with her. He is a jealous man much like every wolf.

After a few similar meetings with others as well as meeting people who didn't know my mum, which was a much more normal experience with a hi I'm Felix and a response of their name and role. Much more my speed. Sen took me into a private office at the back of the open plan area. There were three offices one was hers, one had no name and the last had the name Lauren on it.

Sen nocked and a soft almost angelic voice answered "Come in Felix. Sen go look after the front desk Felix's friend will be coming soon. I will take her to the cafeteria after and we can all meet up there for dinner"

first off how did she know all of that. Only wolves can mind link and I could feel that Lauren was a demon. And secondly how that f**k is it dinner time. I entered giving Sen another hug and closing the door behind me. Before I knew it Lauren was engulfing me in a tight bone crushing hug and smelling my scent.

"Felix. I've been so excited to meet you. I've been watching for a while and could feel you would he here today." she paused smiling at me and the continued "First off I am demon but I have the gift of sight and I can hear thoughts. so that's your first question and secondly it takes up a lot of time talking with Sen it was 4pm by the time you came out of the front room and everyone who knew Teresa was so greedy to spend time with you that it is just approaching 5pm. dinner is at 530 so perfect timing for all of us."

I stood there with my mouth pretty much on the floor. I took Lauren in as she laughed and shrugged moving to sit on the couch and then patting the seat next to her. She was possibly the most beautiful women I had ever seen she had pitch black hair and her eyes were a solid purple color. She was my height and tall and skinny. She wore a long black skirt with docs similar to mine and a long sleeve shirt with no bra. I didn't often take in those sorts of details but mostly because I had been so hung up on Axel that I even when a hot women or man came into view I barely noticed. But she was something else.

"I'm not going to bite. Unless you want me to" she winked at me as a blush took over my face. She could hear my thoughts. f**k.

"Sorry about that I just..."

she cut me off "don't worry about it. My gift came along with a curse where I will never get a mate bond but I also will attract many. It just means I never know who likes me for me if I have a s****l relationship. Darius is similar. his curse is pretty much the same but his powers are more just intensified vampire abilities. So just to clear things up, you are a very sexy women, but if we did anything it wouldn't mean anything more than s*x and you don't seem like that type of girl." she winked again laughing properly now. It sounded amazing.

"Thank you. Sorry again. And sorry to hear about that... It must be hard" I sat down next to her looking at her with pitty. But I quickly put it away, I know how much I hate that look she likely feels the same.

"I do feel the same." she laughed tapping her head to remind me about the total lack of privacy in there "it's no harder than your mate situation is little one. That's what I want to talk to you about actually..." she paused taking my hand "I know why you hide your wolf but I need you to know the time is coming where she must come forward. I have the answers around why she won't come forward and they are valid but I am concerned for a seperate threat which hangs over you." my mouth dropped and shock and fear filled my stomach. I felt like I might throw up.
