"Here you can have all this, they are yours now", lady Elisa said giving out some clothes and accessories to a sheepish grinning Loretta who sat on a stool in lady Elisa chambers.

"Thank you very much ma'am", Loretta said almost falling on her knees.

"Now tell me all about Nadia would you", lady Elisa said sitting next to her friend on her bed.

"uhm Nadia is a funny strange girl", Loretta said not really knowing much about Nadia she didn't know what to say about her.

"Nobody cares about that you dumb fool, tell us about Nadia's affair with the master", Deborah said rolling her eyes.

"uhm i don't really know what is going on between them but there was rumors among the slaves that she have being with both master Robert and master Lawrence", Loretta explain making lady Elisa take in a sharp breath.

Her hatred for Nadia had increase greatly after hearing that, she was a nobody she was pretty, she was fat and dirty totally unappealing and hard to look at she didn't understand what Robert see in that pig, she was going to take care of her in her own way.

"you will work with Nadia closely from today, you will move into the house and share a room with her, you will report everything she does to me", Lady Elisa said with fire in her eyes she was beyond angry.

"yes my lady", Loretta said running out of the room with all her new clothes and accessories, she couldn't stop smiling she was happy she couldn't wait to try all her new dresses.

"You know I didn't tell you because you weren't feeling well the other day, but the other night i went to go get water when i saw Robert coming from Nadia's room shirtless", Deborah said fueling Elisa anger and jealousy.

She felt her chest burn with jealousy she wanted to rip her heart out of her chest, she wanted so badly to hurt Nadia she wanted Nadia to feel pain and suffering and she would make sure that she suffers, she was also going to teach Robert a lesson for making her feel this way she angrily wipe the tears that fill her eyes before matching out to Robert.

I sat in the kitchen picking out vegetables while minding my business, Loretta was in the kitchen with me doing whatever it is, we weren't in speaking terms because she was a snake after what she did to me the other day, she had happily ranted me out to master telling him how i use to steal, I knew that she would get me in trouble the moment I saw her she is my enemy right now she makes me so angry.

"Loretta if you don't mind I won't be needing your help in the kitchen anymore as i can handle everything by myself like I did before", I said giving her the nasty look, stupid snake.

"Lady Elisa have asked me to work in the house with you permanently from now on so i guess that I am now working and not helping you", she said making my blood boil i might strangle this i***t if I kept seeing her every other day.

I didn't say anything as i continue my business humming to a song that i didn't know how to sing but I often hear they other slaves singing and dancing to it.

Lady Elisa had it out for me I have no idea why but she was always looking for fault in everything that i did, she always misunderstood every word I spoke and she never miss an opportunity to hit me.

Lady Elisa had some how gotten master to severely whipped me three times already, he believe every word she spoke and never gives me the chance to explain or defend my self.

Master had whipped me so badly the day the day that lady Elizabeth had suggested that i was stealing food, I was expecting that i***t Loretta to have my back when master asked her if we were stealing food but she ranted me out because of fear even saying things that nobody asked her about, thanks to her i was still recovering from the whipping i got.

I sat on the floor and listened carefully to teacher as he spoke teaching something new, there was no one in the house so i was relaxed with learning knowing that lady Deborah won't be walking in here any time soon.

Loretta had gone with them to my surprise it seems to be that lady Elisa really liked her to even let her come with them to the market, I was thankful that i wasn't asked to come with them it was way to stressful to deal with.

I made lunch and quickly ate my share almost choking on it before the return back home, one would think that after the horrible whipping that I had gotten that i would stay away from food but that wasn't me a little challenge wouldn't stop me from eating.

I finished serving the food on the table when I heard voices letting me know that they were back, Henry ran in giggling as he hugged me legs infection me with his happy illness.

"hello big man, you had fun?", I asked ruffling his hair and he nodded his head with a big grin before running off while they others came in.

"Nadia picked that up", lady Elisa said for the third time intentionally throwing her fork under the table I suck in a breath before meekly getting under the table to go get the fork.

"aww", I cried out trying my best to get out from underneath the table as lady Elisa heels dug in to my middle finger she finally took her heel off my finger and I got out massaging my finger to ease the pain, nobody saw what had just happened and even if the did it didn't matter i was just another n***o and it wasn't a crime to hurt one.

I went to my room to relieve my self before getting started with dinner, i was shocked to see lady Deborah in my room with my little things scattered all over.

"lady Deborah is there something that I can help you with", I asked confused as to why she was here in my room and going through my things, she didn't say anything as she kept digging through my things even pushing down my mattress from the bed.

She didn't say anything as she push pass me walking away from the mess that she had created, I felt running to go drag her back by the hair so she could fix the mess that she had made.

I rearrange my room checking to see if anything was missing she must have been looking for something to be here I didn't see her leave with anything but still i wanted to be sure.

Nothing was missing so far, my heart stop as i didn't see or feel my neck bead that mama had specially made for Lamin and i, we were to were it at all times but Lady Elizabeth made me take it off she said that negros always use their beads for witch craft.

I checked well to make sure that it was gone before quickly running after her I knocked on her door but she didn't answer so I knocked harder, i knew that she was in there because I had seen her getting in but she wouldn't answer, tears fill my eyes as i walked away, mama's and Lamin's bead was also there it was the only thing that i had to remember them by it would hurt so much if anything happens to those beads.

"Lady Deborah", i forced a smile jogging to catch up with as she rush off to her room immediately after dinner.

"perhaps you must have seen my beads earlier today it was in my bag but its gone now, i was wondering if you maybe came across it", i said being careful with my words trying not to get in any type of trouble.

"No i haven't seen your bead", she said flipping her hair before walking off leaving me there with tears in my eyes yet again, I hate her so much.

I didn't know what else to do is not like I could force the truth out of her I am sure that she have it she just wanted to punish me by not giving me especially now that she knows that its important to me.

I went to the kitchen cleaning up while plotting in my head how to get my beads back.

Everyone had gone to bed leaving me to wait for master, i was so sleepy i wish i didn't have to wait for him every other night it was exhausting.

I walk to my room excited about spreading on my bed as i open the door to my room, anger couldn't explain how i was feeling right now as I spotted Loretta curl up on my tiny bed wrapping her self up in my blanket, what the hell was she doing here I thought that she had gone home.

"my goodness Loretta what are you doing here and on my bed", I said staring at her with angry and exhausted eyes.

"Lady Elisa asked me to share a room with you from now on", she said closing her eyes, I didn't know what has come over her and I don't care, I got on the tiny bed pushing her hard while snatching my blanket from her, I didn't have time for any of this.

"Nadia", she screaming hitting me with her elbow while trying to grab back the blanket, I hit her back hard while holding the blanket tighter she really was putting me to a test this night that i was so ready for.

It was so uncomfortable the bed was way to small for two grown women to sleep in, we both kept tossing and turning, this have to be one of my worst nights ever.

I was annoyed because this room was my safe haven a place for me to come back to and be alone with my thoughts after the hard work of the day, this room was one of the reasons why i was so happy to leave the slave quarters and come work here, but now all that have being taken away from me.

My eyes water with hot angry tears today just isn't my day, I spread my legs in an attempt to make her more miserable.

"Nadia could you move your legs a bit i have no space at all", Loretta complain and i totally ignored her i am going to make it miserable for her until i get my room back.

I close my eyes trying to fall asleep but it simply was impossible as Loretta kept trying to pull the blanket away from me how annoying is this girl.

"what are you even doing here seriously Loretta, are just trying to spite me", I said not being able to hold it in anymore.

"I am here for work and i didn't ask for this so just stop being angry it's not my fault that you got caught stealing food" she said making smoke escape from my eyes I really do not like her anymore.

I didn't say anything again as i close my eyes thinking of the things and people that made me happy.

I miss Ceaser i waited for him a day before yesterday but he never showed I know that Lawrence was giving him a hard time back there I really wish that there was a way for us to escape this horrible life and just be together forever.

I moved Loretta arm away from my stomach angrily, I was angry because she had somehow managed to fall asleep in this condition and I was still awake because her snores wouldn't let me fall asleep.
