Episode 5-The Breaking Point

EPISODE 5 — The Breaking Point Zion stepped into the hallway, phone pressed tight to his ear, lowering his voice like secrecy could erase guilt. He didn’t realize Sasha could hear every word. “I want to see you today,” Vicky said, her voice sugary sweet through the phone. “Spend more time with you.” Sasha sat at the dining table, still as stone, coffee cup in hand. She didn’t turn her head. She didn’t react. She just listened. “What are you doing?” Zion hissed quietly. “I told you not to call me.” He thought he was being quiet. He thought he was being careful. He thought Sasha was too far away to hear. He was wrong. “You’re always with her,” Vicky snapped. “When are you going to spend more time with me? You said you would.” Sasha’s jaw tightened — barely — but her face stayed calm. “I’ll… I’ll let you know,” Zion muttered. He hung up and stood there breathing like a man trying to swallow his own panic. Sasha didn’t look up when he returned. She didn’t ask. She didn’t blink. She just sipped her coffee — her silence slicing the room like a blade. Because now? She wasn’t suspicious. She wasn’t wondering. She knew. And Zion had no idea the woman sitting at that table was already planning the lesson he was about to learn. Zion cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck. “Ummm… Vicky wants to know if she can come over today,” he said. “She’s bored. Doesn’t have friends yet. I’m the only one she talks to.” He said it like he was doing charity. Like he wasn’t inviting his mistress into his wife’s home. Like Sasha was too soft to see the insult. Sasha lifted her eyes slowly. Her face calm. Her voice smooth. Her power quiet but unmistakable. “Of course she can come over,” she said. “No problem.” Zion blinked — confused, thrown off. He nodded quickly and stepped away to call Vicky. Sasha listened to his voice from the other room — low, eager, guilty. Hours later, Vicky pulled up wearing a sundress that showed too much — bright, flirty, intentional. Zion’s eyes widened. Sasha saw it. And she smiled to herself — soft, dangerous, knowing. Vicky thought she was walking into a competition. But Sasha? Sasha was walking into a lesson. Sasha came down the stairs wearing a fitted dress that hugged every curve — elegant, powerful, effortless. Zion saw them both: Sasha — breathtaking, composed, untouchable. Vicky — trying too hard, sundress swaying, insecure beneath the sugar. And he finally realized: Sasha was in a league Vicky could never touch. “Oh, thank you so much for having me over,” Vicky chirped. Sasha smiled — soft, warm, sharp enough to draw blood. “No problem at all,” she said. “I know how hard it is to fit in here. New place… everything that’s old is gone or rusted.” Zion’s eyes widened. He knew exactly what she meant. Vicky did too. Sasha’s smile didn’t waver. “You know… out with the old.” Vicky’s face tightened — just for a second. Zion panicked. “Vicky, go have a seat. I need to talk to Sasha.” Vicky walked inside, sundress swaying. The moment she disappeared, Zion turned to Sasha — eyes wide, voice low, panic rising. Because he finally realized: Sasha wasn’t clueless. She wasn’t blind. She wasn’t soft. She was aware. And she was done playing nice. Zion grabbed Sasha’s arm, pulling her into the hallway. “What was that about?” he hissed. “That comment wasn’t nice.” Sasha blinked slowly, calm as ice. “What are you talking about?” Zion ran a hand through his hair, unraveling. His grip tightened — too tight. “Zion… you’re hurting me,” she said quietly. He froze. He looked down. His hand was wrapped around her arm hard enough to leave a mark. He let go instantly, stepping back like he’d touched fire. “I—I’m sorry. Are you okay?” Sasha didn’t rub her arm. Didn’t flinch. Didn’t soften. She just looked at him — eyes cold, sharp, unblinking. Eyes that no longer belonged to the woman who trusted him. Zion swallowed hard. Because for the first time, he felt something he hadn’t felt in months: Fear. Sasha turned and walked upstairs — calm, controlled, regal. Zion stood frozen. Then he felt a hand on his arm. “Hey… you okay?” Vicky asked softly. Zion jerked back — then leaned in anyway. Vicky kissed him. And Zion — guilty, unraveling — kissed her back. He didn’t know Sasha had come halfway down the stairs. He didn’t know she saw everything. He didn’t know her eyes had gone cold the moment their lips touched. Sasha didn’t gasp. Didn’t storm down. Didn’t break. She simply made a small, deliberate noise — a warning. Vicky pulled back, but not fast enough. She wanted Sasha to see. She wanted the power. She wanted the win. And Zion? Deep down, guilt always wants to be caught. Sasha stepped fully into view — calm, regal, unreadable. “You are bold,” she said softly. Game on. END OF EPISODE 5
