CHAPTER 4

THE MOMENT

MIDNIGHT

You deserve to die along with your wife"Alexander muttered

"No...."luna mom said her last word and she died after the gun shot

"No my wife"Eric cried going straight to her

"Mommy"luna yelled with tears

"No nooooooooo"luna screamed and woke up immediately breathing heavily with her heart beating fastly ,she had another nightmare

"What's wrong luna"Betty asked as she was woken from the scream

"Don't tell me you had that dream again"betty said knowing it was the reason already

"Why do i dream thus all the time,it's my past,i i..."luna muttered

"Oh my heavens"Betty muttered

"Really betty you don't understand"luna said

"I was walking back to the orphanage home from the market,i was coming back and this man, I splashed water all over me. I was soaked!,he came out of his car and told me something strange"

Betty's eyes widened. "That's so rude! What did you do?"

Luna frowned. "I yelled at him, but he just smirked and told me how beautiful and how I look pretty and all and that's not even the weird part."

Betty leaned in, intrigued. "What happened next?"

Luna's voice dropped to a whisper. "He wanted to touch me,he was saying such bad things,i told him to stop it,it was a sin I said but he didn't look like a godly person atall."

Betty's expression turned concerned. "That does sound weird. Do "

Luna shrugged. "I don't know who he was Betty,i don't know I feel like have seen him before,those eyes"

"You are getting worked up,relax luna"betty said sleeping back but luna still didn't get him off his mind

LEONARDO EMPIRE

Leonardo's eyes stared blankly at the man tied to the chair, but his mind was elsewhere. Luna's image lingered in his thoughts – her annoyed expression, her dripping wet clothes, and her fiery spirit,her curvy body that seems to make him crazy

He couldn't shake the feeling that he'd seen her before, but he couldn't quite place her,that blue eyes, Leonardo's gaze drifted back to the man in the chair, but his attention didn't register.

The man's muffled voice broke through Leonardo's reverie.

"P-please, let me go. I won't say anything."

Leonardo's focus snapped back to the present. He approached the man, his movements fluid and calculated.

"You're not going anywhere," he said, his voice low and menacing.

As he began to pace around the room, Leonardo's thoughts returned to Luna. Who was she, really? And why couldn't he get her out of his head

Leonardo's men called out to him, their voices urgent and insistent.

"Boss, we need your attention. The shipment is ready to be transported."

But Leonardo didn't respond. He remained lost in thought, his mind consumed by the image of Luna. His men exchanged worried glances, unsure of how to proceed.

One of them tried again, louder this time. "Boss, please. We can't delay the shipment any further."

Leonardo's gaze slowly shifted to his men, his expression unreadable and dark. For a moment, it seemed like he didn't recognise them. Then, his eyes snapped back into focus.

"Handle it," he said curtly and harshly, his voice low

"I have more important things to attend to,a and take care of this man"Leonardo said and left

"P_please sir please"the man begged helplessly but Leonardo was too ruthless to listen

MORNING

ORPHANAGE HOME

The sun shone brightly in the orphanage's backyard, where Luna and Betty were picking wildflowers. The children's laughter and playful shouts filled the air. Suddenly, one of the younger children came running towards them, her eyes wide with fear.

Luna's brow furrowed in concern.

"What's wrong, sweetie? What happened?"

The child panted, her words tumbling out in a rush.

"Weird men...they came...in big cars...I saw them talking to mother superior"

Luna's gaze met Betty's, and they exchanged a worried glance. "Let's me see what's going on,betty take the kids to safety" Luna said, her voice calm and reassuring.

As they approached the main building, they saw Leonardo and his men standing in the foyer, their presence imposing and out of place. Leonardo's eyes scanned the area, and when they landed on Luna, a flicker of recognition crossed his face.

Luna's instincts prickled with unease.

"That man"she muttered

Leonardo's gaze lingered on her before he smirked seeing it was the luna he was craving for since

Luna heart started beating fast,their eyes looked into each other,just staring at his eyes make her scared,he was dressed on only black,his hair spread across his face making him look irresistible to crave for and no she didn't want to sin

Luna eyes landed in mother superior who was staring at her,luna ran away heading to her room

"I will be back"mother superior said and left

LUNA ROOM

Luna rushed into her room, her heart racing with every step. Betty followed close behind, concern etched on her face.

"Luna, what's happening? Who are those men?" Betty asked, her voice laced with worry.

Luna's hands trembled as she reached for her bag.

"It looks like they're here for me. I have to leave, now." She began tossing clothes and belongings into the bag,h we bible and her pendant wore on her neck, movements frantic.

Betty's eyes widened. "

What do you mean? How do you know?"

Luna's voice was barely above a whisper. "I don't know, but I have a feeling. I need to get out of here,that man was the one I saw that day that I told you about last night"

Just then, Mother Superior entered the room, her expression stern.

"Luna, mr. Leonardo would like to speak with you. Please, come with me."

Luna's grip on her bag tightened.

"No, I won't go,he look dangerous" She tried to shake off Mother Superior's grasp, but the older woman's hold was firm

"Don't blow this girl"mother superior spoke firmly,With a surge of adrenaline, Luna pushed Mother Superior away and made a run for the door.

"Luna, stop! Come back!" Mother Superior yelled out, but Luna didn't look back.

She burst out of the room, her feet pounding the hallway as she sprinted towards freedom. Outside, she could see the gates, her only hope for escape.

Meanwhile, Leonardo's eyes scanned the area, his gaze locking onto Luna as she ran. A calculating smirk spread across his face.

"After her," he ordered his men, his voice low and menacing.

The men took off in pursuit, their footsteps closing in on Luna. She darted between buildings, her breath coming in ragged gasps. The gates were within reach, but she knew she couldn't outrun them for much longer.

Luna's determination fueled her sprint. She was almost there. She ran out of the gate running and running through Conners while Leonardo men ran after her

As she ran,she felt someone who held her as she turned back,she saw a man holding her hand and suddenly she became unconscious

NIGHT

LEONARDO EMPIRE

Her eyes fluttered opened slowly,her head was ringing like a bell,her eyes roamed around and she could only see the colour of darkness,as her eyes roamed she saw he was sitting on a arm chair with his legs crossed,he was smoking

Luna coughed because of the smoke and saw she was chained on the bed

"What!!!,helppppp,someone help me were"she cried while Leonardo just watched her,he stood up,his movement firm and he breath in the smoke filled in the air

He went straight to luna freeing her hand,she quickly sat up shifting backyard

"Please don't hurt me"luna cried shifting as he came close,he grabbed her arm and brought her close to his chest ,he grabbed her ass making her stand up which made her gasp

His touch was like magic

"What di...d you just ...,did you ju..st to..uch me"luna shuttered fearfully shifting back but Leonardo grabbed her wrist firmly

"Ouch"she muttered with tears in her eyes,then his arm went to her waist fulling her closer to her

"No my body is for god,dont touch me"luna muttered with tears

"Fûck that word,your darm body is mine,your blue eyes,why do I feel like have seen them before huh"he said,his voice cold and harsh

"leave me alone please"luna cried and Leonardo smirked tracing his hands around her curves which made her gasp

"Your body is mine,everything about you I want it"he said and she couldn't push herself away from him

"Someone help"luna cried

"No one is here to help you,as long as you are with me pretty"Leonardo whispered in her hair and luna cried then Leonardo left while his men locked the door leaving her in the room,it was dark ,only the colour of black was seen

"Where am I" luna muttered crying

"Oh god please help me"luna cried holding her cross pendant.

HALLWAY

Diana and Mia stood in the hallway, whispering about luna,

"I bet she's just another one of his playthings," Diana said, rolling her eyes.

"She'll be fawning all over him in no time."Mia said

Diana shook her head. "I don't think so. She seems different. She's not like we who throw ourselves at him."

Mia raised an eyebrow. "Oh, come on. You think she's immune to his charm? He'll have her wrapped around his finger in no time."

Diana shrugged. "Am not gonna let that happen"she said

Mia's expression turned

sour. "Ugh, I know. He's already giving her that special attention. I can see the way he looks at her."

Diana's voice dripped with venom. "It's always like this. He brings someone new in, and we're just forgotten. Like we're not even worth his time."

Mia's eyes flashed with anger. "I'm so sick of it

. He thinks he can just snap his fingers, and we'll all be at his back "

IN A ROOM

Luna sat alone in her room, lost in thought. The door creaked open, and Diana stepped inside, a hint of a smirk on her face.

"Hey master wants to see you," Diana said, her voice dripping with an unsettling sweetness.

"He's calling for you."

Luna's heart sank, and she felt a wave of dread wash over her. She didn't want to go, didn't want to face whatever Leonardo had in store for her.

"I don't want to see him," Luna said, trying to sound firm.

Diana's smirk grew wider. "Oh, I don't think that's an option. You're needed. He doesn't like to be kept waiting."

Luna's resolve hardened, and she stood up, her eyes locked on Diana's. "I'm not going."

The tension between them was palpable, and the air was thick with unspoken emotions. Diana's expression turned cold, and she took a step closer to Luna.

"We'll see about that," Diana said, her voice low and menacing,a she wanted to pull luna,luna pushed her and ran away

"Argh"diana groan and ran after luna

Luna ran down the hallway, her heart racing as she heard the footsteps behind her,l una had alerted some men, She dodged around a corner, her breath catching in her throat. She could hear the men shouting, their voices getting closer.

Suddenly, she saw a door slightly ajar and slipped inside, holding her breath as she listened to the men rush past. She let out a sigh of relief, realising she'd temporarily evaded them.

But for how long?

The room was dark and unfamiliar, with only a sliver of moonlight peeking through the curtains. Luna felt her way along the wall, trying to get her bearings. She needed to find a way out, and fast.

As she moved deeper into the room, she stumbled upon a window. She pushed it open, and a cool breeze hit her face. She peered out, seeing a drop to the ground below. It was risky, but she might have no other choice.

She had to look for a long rope to get out of here,as she roamed around looking for ropes to take,her foot met something shiny,it was like a necklace,she wanted to pick it but she could hear the men voices,she had no time to waste,she found ropes but when she wanted to escape she stumbled on something,she saw it was a dead person making her scream in fear

"JESUS CHRIST"she screamed and that's how the men got her,diana got in and gave her a slap making luna crying

"Please let me

go"she begged but they took her away

"What ever,she's not prettier than me,i know how to get him"diana said and left majestically,mia scoffed and left
