When five heartbroken women form a secret club to divorce their alpha mates, they just want peace, power, and maybe a margarita or two. But the Moon Goddess has other plans. She curses their exes—each one must earn back their mate’s heart honestly, or lose their wolf forever.

Now the chase begins. Love, betrayal, second chances, and a whole lot of chaos collide. For shy, bookish Nora—the weakest of the group—this means facing the ruthless Alpha who humiliated her… and who might still own her heart.

Prologue – The Rejection Ball
Moonfire Hall, Midnight. Rain slithered down the tall stained-glass windows like tears, catching the flickering light from thousands of enchanted candles floating above the ballroom. Moonfire Hall was silent for one suspended moment—the kind that came just before a disaster. Nora Hale stood at the center of it all, heart thundering in her chest, palms sweating beneath her white gloves. She didn’t need prophecy to know something was very, very wrong. Darius Blackthorn hadn’t looked at her once all night. The mate mark on her collarbone burned under her silk gown, angry and raw like it knew what was coming. Behind her, pack leaders, alphas, councilors, and envoys from every realm whispered in hushed tones. Cameras hovered like metal vultures, their red dots blinking. The Supernatural Elite Ball happened once every decade. This year, it was supposed to be about bonding alliances and announcing royal matches. And tonight—Nora’s match to Alpha Darius Blackthorn was meant to be the crown jewel. Until he walked in with another woman on his arm. A tall, stunning she-wolf with blood-red lips and a knowing smirk. Nora’s stomach dropped when Darius pulled her close for the cameras. The woman kissed his cheek. The crowd gasped. And then he turned to Nora. At last. But his icy silver eyes didn’t warm. They didn’t soften. They didn’t even flicker. He raised a hand, snapping his fingers. A servant walked forward and dropped a thick envelope at her feet with a loud thud. Nora stared at it, unmoving. The silence broke into a thousand murmurs. Laughter, confusion, whispers. “What’s that?” “No…” “He wouldn’t—” Darius’s voice echoed through the hall. Deep. Cold. Final. “I, Alpha Darius Blackthorn, formally reject Nora Hale as my mate.” A woman screamed. Maybe it was her. Maybe someone else. Nora couldn’t tell. The mate bond seared down her spine like a blade. Her knees buckled. He turned his back before she even hit the floor. The cameras caught everything. Nora didn’t remember running. All she remembered was the rain. It drenched her gown, soaked her hair, stung her eyes. Her heels broke two blocks away from Moonfire Hall. She didn’t stop. Couldn’t stop. She ran until her legs gave out near an old stone ruin—the forgotten Moonfire Temple, where ancient wolves once worshipped the goddess. She collapsed at the altar, gasping. “Why?” she whispered. “Why wasn’t I enough?” Behind her, a quiet voice broke the storm. “You too, huh?” Nora spun around, startled. Four women stood at the edge of the ruins. Each wore a ruined ball gown. One held a bottle of enchanted whiskey. Another had a bloody lip. The third carried divorce papers. “Who are you?” Nora whispered. The one with the bottle raised it in salute. “Sisters in heartbreak, apparently. Welcome to the club.” Three Hours Later, The fire crackled as they sat around the ruined altar. The fifth bottle of whiskey passed hands. “So let me get this straight,” slurred Zara, the ex-assassin in stilettos. “You were rejected in front of the entire supernatural council, just like me?” Nora nodded. “Bastard,” muttered Reya, dark eyes glowing faintly. “Mine sold me to his Beta to settle a territory debt.” Lyra huffed. “Mine announced his new bride two weeks after our bonding. She’s seventeen. Barely shifted.” Mei said nothing. Her eyes shimmered with unshed tears. They were all broken in different ways. All betrayed. All rejected. And all angry. “I wish I could un-mate from him,” Nora whispered. Zara leaned forward. “There’s a ritual for that.” Everyone turned. “What kind of ritual?” “The Moonfire Severance. Dangerous. Illegal. Banned centuries ago. You burn the bond in the place it was made.” Nora blinked. “Here?” Zara nodded. “Right here.” Silence fell. Then Lyra stood up, lifted her necklace—the bonding charm—and tore it off. “One way to find out if it works.” The others followed. One by one, they placed their mating marks, bonding tokens, and rejection scrolls into the fire. Then they linked hands. “Moon Goddess, hear our plea. We sever bonds not out of hate, But out of survival. Let what was broken stay broken.” The fire blazed white. Thunder rolled overhead. Lightning struck the altar. The women were thrown back by an unseen force. When the smoke cleared, something shimmered in the air above the ruins. A voice—not quite a voice—whispered from the storm. “Until love redeems, let cursed love chase.” Then silence. They lay there, stunned, bruised, soaked in rain and moonlight. “Did we just curse our exes?” Lyra whispered. Zara grinned. “Looks like it.” Elsewhere, Darius Blackthorn woke with a start, sweating. He heard it before he felt it. The silence. His wolf—his inner voice, his power, his other half—was gone. Panic shot through him. He tried to shift. Nothing. Tried to mind-link his Beta. Silence. He staggered to the mirror. And saw her face behind his eyes. Nora. His wolf wasn’t just missing—it was chasing her. His curse had begun. Back at the ruins, The five women looked at each other. Zara raised her bottle again. “Well, girls. I say we start a club.” Mei finally smiled, just a little. “What kind of club?” Reya leaned back, firelight dancing in her eyes. “The Divorce Alpha Club.”
