CHAPTER THREE. Four month passed since the Fated Bound. And Freya was bound under the crimson light. Four months of realizing the special thing the moon goddess had prepared for were Freya's thorn in the flesh. Her mother had passed away, and she was sold out to the Moon Crest family after the fated bound. Her fingers hovered around the delicate wedding band. Ready to smash it. But the memories of Thorne's tender vows at the bond ceremony were still fresh in her mind, and a beautiful moment that she didn't expect; she did regret. "Hey, Gourd. Come. Serve me my meal." A voice ripped through from the distance. Thorne, he was just stepping back from work into the living room. His voice snapped Freya from those thoughts. Her hands trembled, her heart racing fast. She knew she hadn't prepared anything. She stepped slowly to the living room, her body shivering with fear. Each part of her. "Gourd, where is my food?" Thorne's voice shivered down her spine. "I'm sorry. I forgot to make it; I was so tired. Please, can you forgive me?" Freya dropped to her knees as tears streamed down her eyes. He didn't let her finish. Thorne clenched his fingers tight into a fist; a punch landed on her face and then. Freya kept pleading, as tears spilled down her face. But Thorne didn't care. He would come home in the evening. Drunk, and would always take his frustration out on Freya. "Next time I come back home, I want my meal ready." Thorne spat as he punched Freya in the face. And blood dripped down Freya's nostril as I gazed locked on her. Minutes passed. The punches kept coming, one after the other. And in a second. He stopped, satisfied, lips curled into a wicked, dark smile. He leaned closer to Freya, half unconscious, right close to her. Has a devilish smile curl through his lips. " Guard, you actually thought I loved you when the Moon goddess bound us together. He laughed hysterically. You runt, ugly wolf." He spat on her body. Freya lay half unconscious on the floor, tears spilled down her face. Regret started pouring in. " She cursed the day she met him." His legs smashed through her abdomen; he didn't care; he just walked away. The door. bell rang. Freya's hands trembled with desperation. Her legs shook as she stood up; her ribs cracked, her body shivering, bruises all over her face, swollen. As she stood up, her gaze locked on Thorne. He stepped towards her, his claws slid out, pinning her throat instantly to the wall. " Hey, Gourd, go clean up. My family is back; if they find out about this, consider yourself dead." His hand left Freya's throat; she moved slowly. Every step she took was hell. She walked into her room. Her gaze locked on the mirror; she couldn't bear to see that image. She was tired of staying here, but anytime she ran away, he would always stalk her. The family she had even sold her out. She wished Mom was still alive. She knew she was exhausted. She moved to her wardrobe, flung it open, and she swiped through the dresses; her fingers stopped. She pulled out a long-sleeved white gown. She put it on and stepped back to the mirror, collapsed on the chair sitting at her vanity as she applied heavy makeup on her face, masking the swelling around her eyes and the cut on her lips. She forced herself into a practiced smile. If the Moon Crest family finds out, Luna is being beaten by her Alpha. She will be banished. She stood up and stepped out. Mrs. Moon Crest was sitting with Thorne in the sitting room, laughing happily. Her head switched backward, seeing Freya stepping in. Her face twisted with disgust and judgement. "Why are you in makeup?" Freya's lips smashed into a soft smile. "Nothing, I just felt like it." "Is this what I didn't want you to marry her?" Before she could finish, the doorbell rang. Kalean and Mrs. Moon Crest stepped in. Kalean's gaze locked on Freya as he sat on the bulky sofa. Freya sat down, her hands squeezing her knees; her hands trembled. Her head bent in terror. " Freya." A voice tore through. She snapped instantly, her chin up. Kelean's gaze locked on her. His eyes could tell he was worried, but his face was firm and dangerous. " What's wrong, Freya?" Kelean asked. He had noticed her hands trembling. "It's Nothing.", Freya smiled softly. Mr Moon Crest cleared his throat. "Kelean will take over my company." The room dropped 20 degrees of silence. Thorne's fingers clenched tight into a fist. His arms wrapped around Freya, his lips curling into a fake smile. " He will also take over my position as the pack leader." "What?" Mrs. Moon Crest screamed. " Why would you do that to our son?" " It's fine, Mom," Thorne said as his voice cracked into a smile. Mrs. Moon Crest turned to him. " What do you mean, my son? You should take back What's yours from this filthy peasant." Kelean was born to a runt; Freya had found out when she got married to Thorne. But Mr. Mooncrest loved him more than Thorne. Mr. Mooncrest didn't hesitate; he cleared his throat and stood up, storming to his room. The room fell silent. Kalean stood, his gaze locked on me. "Can I get a glass of water, Freya, and why are you in makeup?" He cleared his throat; his voice was commanding. Freya stepped out and arrived with a glass of water. Kelean took it, his gaze locked on her, and this time it wasn't mere; it was deadly. Then he stepped out. ONE HOUR LATER. A call came in; Freya sprinted to get it. " Hello." Her voice cracked through the phone. "Is this The Moon Crest pack?" The caller asked. "Yes, how can I help you?" Freya asked, curious. "We are sorry to inform you that Mr Kalean Moon Crest is dead. Freya's heart stopped. "You can come pick up his body at our hospital." Freya's hands trembled. It must be a joke. Thorne stepped out, his eyes locked on her. "Why are you like this?" He stepped forward and grabbed the phone from her hands. "Ma'am, you can come pick up the body." "What did you say?" Thorne shouted at the caller. As he was screaming, Mr Moon Crest stepped out. "What's going on?" " I know this might be shocking, Mr Kalean Moon Crest is dead, and you have to come claim his body." The caller didn't finish; Mr Moon Crest collapsed right on the floor. In a swift move, Freya stepped forward, pulling to her hands, tears spilling down her face. Mr Mooncrest was a nice father-in-law; he didn't deserve this. Mrs Mooncrest stepped out, seeing all the commotion. "What's happening?" " Kalean is dead." She stumbled to the floor, sobbing furiously. Thorne stood there, unbothered. The doorbell rang. The pack officers stormed in. "Who is Mrs. Thorne Freya?" Freya's breath cut. Her gaze locked on the three pack officers; her eyes slid up slowly. "You are under arrest for the Murder of Mr Kalean."
