Hope's Point of View. The sunlight burned my eyeballs through my closed eyelids. We must have forgotten to pull the blinds down in our room. I rolled over onto my side. I wanted to see if I could nudge Albi awake so that I could make him get out of bed and close the curtains. I'd do it myself, but honestly, my limbs were aching like a bastard. I stretched out my arms and noticed two things simultaneously. One Albi wasn't next to me, and two, there didn't appear to be any bedding around me. The only things I could feel were twigs and grass. Dead leaves made a crunching sound under my body as I moved again, causing me to sit bolt upright. I pried my eyes open as fast as I could, but it wasn't easy.
