Chapter 48

— Anika —

Every step that I take my feet felt like collapsing. I hear clearly the sound of my heart beat, the nervousness was flows throughout my body. My mind is blowing and I’m getting uncollective with my thoughts, any minute it felt like I will stumble and just fall on the ground because of mix emotions inside of me. The butterflies in my stomach are all in chaos.

As we get near the place, it is getting magical. A huge glass igloo was designed on the center surrounded by nature, the sky is full of stars and serves as the main light of this huge function hall. This place becomes more magical if aurora borealis will appear any minute. This is my dream place, the midnight sun. 

“This place is mesmerizing.” I said adoring Finland.

“And so you are.” Jake replied which makes me chuckle.

I noticed the place has a lot of table and chairs and there is a center age with complete band instruments. Everything confused me, I noticed every detail and got paranoid about it.

“Why there are a lot of chairs here?” I asked Jake as we enter the igloo.

“You will know later.” Jake replied which really annoys me. I never had the answer I deserved for all the questions I asked.

“I’m sick of that you will know later thing.” I said in annoyance which he just returned with chuckle. How long am I going to received chuckle as an answer. I asked to myself.

“Patience little princess, patience.” Jake said which makes me roll my eyes. He winks before he left me that make me roll my eyes again.

One by one, everyone in the family enter the hall. First Buck, of course that’s given because he came here with us but Earl, Henry and Harold, Christian and Caleb who was left at Greece was also here. They all approaches me and confusion plastered on my face.

“Why everyone is here?” I asked them but just like Blake and Jake they just smiled and greeted a great night. They’re smiles seems to hide something. I don’t know if I’m paranoid or they’re just crazy, but they are all looking handsome with their suits.

Unwanted guest was also here, Jenny. She smiled vaguely to me whom I return with a sarcastic smile.

“Someone invited the unwanted guest.” I said looking straight into her eyes.

“I’m not here for you.” She said raising her brow.

“I know, I’m your sworn enemy, you will never celebrate my success.” I said folding my hands over my chest.

“Stop it Anika, I came here not to pick up some cheap fight with you.” Jenny replied, now some of the people are looking at us.

“You better be, because I’ll put you in your place if that happens.” I said in gritted teeth.

“Anika, don’t waste your energy to nonsense things.” Blake said who was not holding my arms blocking Jenny from me.

“Your place at the center, there.” Blake added pointing the gold wooden wing chair.

Blake pulls me to walk towards the chair still my eyes gazing at Jenny.

“What the hell is she doing here?” I asked Blake as soon as we started walking.

“She’s part of the family Anika, weather you like it or not, she’s part of us.” Blake said trying to explain her presence here. I just look away in annoyance, Jenny is ruining my mood.

“As I have said don’t waste your energy because a lot will happen tonight, so brace yourself.” Blake said which makes me smile.

I just sit on the couch and inhaled deeply to release this bad vibes Jenny passed on me. Blake is right, I need not to spare time getting mad at her, and she’s not worth at all.

The light on stage suddenly turned off and a few guys started going up the stage. Sitting her near the stage doesn’t give me the chance to see what is happening on the stage.

The music started together with the other instruments, the spot light was turned to the singer, and it was Jake.

When the day is said and done in the middle of the night,

Stay awake looking at the beauty telling myself I’m the luckiest man alive.♫

Now the all the lights in the stage was turned on and we can now clearly see that everyone is from my family. Buck as the drummer, Earl and Christian as the guitarist and Jake as the lead singer. Who would have thought Jake can sing this well, but of course not as good as my Isaac, but wait, when Isaac will come out, I asked myself. For now, I will support this siblings my mine by watching them proudly.

I wonder why these people performing here in front of me don’t have woman in their lives. They’re all such a lovely person and always care for this family. They treat each other like blood related brothers, these people make me believed in the saying that not all the time blood is thicker than water.

I actually heard a lot of footsteps on my back but since the chair given to me was bit high on the back I can’t see who was walking behind me given also it was dim on the back part.

It was a loud round of applause from the viewer’s so I guessed Isaac invited some of his friends. I didn’t mind looking who were them I just focused on the stage supporting those guys. Now I noticed all the camera man and videographer’s roaming around. I got even more curious, this event must be really important for Isaac to capture every moment and invite his friends, at least tonight I might know some of his friends, for God sake Jake was the only friend of him I knew.

Now everyone get down the stairs, one by one they passed by me but Jake just walk down the stage holding a microphone.

“First I want to thank everyone who came here tonight with us cooperating with this idea of my crazy friend.” Jake started that makes the crowd laugh, setting the good vibes. I wonder who they are.

“My friend might have a stone heart, removed everyone who blocks our way, a lot say he is like a monster and a living beast, but that beast is willing to do everything for just one person.” Now Jake stands in front of me, holding my hands.

“You are the only woman whom we let into our lives not because my friend loves you but because of who you are, you charismatic personality that everyone will love, how you treat us all like your own brothers. How you planted flower in the mansion that was made of stone.” Jake said that makes my vision blurry.

“Anika, you deserved nothing but all the best this world can offer, and with that I hope that happiness is with him.” Jake said then the spot light was turned on, focusing at the man on the stage, Isaac.

Isaac was sitting on an organ with a microphone stand beside him. Finally, I saw Isaac, all I thought these emotions will be gone as soon as I see him because I am used to his surprises already, but this time was different. I can’t explain what is this emotion burning inside of me, I can’t predict what will happened next.

Isaac started singing while pressing the piano, from then tears started running down my cheeks. I remember Laura, all her effort she put into this make up became useless because of this uncontrollable tears falling down.

Isaac walks down the stage and stands in front of me holding the microphone, now the crowd is cheering loud and clapping.

“I thanked God I found you, you who brought not just the sun but also the rainbow into my devour life. I know how cruel a person I am that’s why I don’t know what I have done in life to have someone like you.” Isaac said while holding my hands, now my tears have their own life from running down my face.

“I want you to know that you are more precious than a silver, most costly than a gold, you are more beautiful than diamonds and nothing I desire can compares to you.” Isaac continued and every word he says is like photograph in my memory.

“I can see the sunset and sunrise in those green eyes, I don’t wanna wake up alone anymore. and I only see my future in you. From the day I saw you I’ve become self less, I’m willing to sacrificed everything for you, even die just for your sake but this time, please allow me to become selfish by making me the happiest man alive, I wanted to be the luckiest man on earth by having you in my life. I will give all the love in the world Anika. " Isaac said and get somethis from his pocket then suddenly kneel in front of 

"My Anika, will you marry me?” Isaac asked kneeling in front of me holding a diamond crown ring.

 The moment Isaac kneel in fornt of me was also the same time aurora borealis came out. The place had become magical. I was like living in another world, with a prince in front of me. It was a Fantasy. 

I cover my mouth in shock because I wasn't really expecting this, I just thought it was just another surprised from Isaac, since he loved surprising me which I appreciate the most. This one has jumped into another level of our lives. 

My mind became blank with his question.
