Chapter 20 Mark watched as the snowplow made its way down the main road. The hydro crew were already working on one of the many downed lines as he put his cell phone to his ear and listened to the ring. He knew Tolly had picked up the phone. He said nothing, but Mark could hear him breathing. “Where are you right now?” “Cleaning up,” Tolly said. The knot in Mark’s stomach pulled tight. “Where? I’m not asking again.” “I think you know where, Mark.” He slurred his words, and Mark wondered whether he was drinking. “Kyle Drake lived in a rectory built by the church twenty-six years ago.” He heard rustling in the background. “So you’re at Kyle’s?
