Amaya's POV
I felt better that Dominic agreed to let me go back to work but I had a feeling that it was going to be for him or not at all. I just hated that I didn't bring anything to the table like they did. I had never not had a job or ever not paid for my own things, it was weird, and I didn't like it.
He pulled his laptop out of its bag and sat down at the little table and started working. I don't know how he couldn't understand my desire to work when he was a workaholic himself.
I went into the little living room we had and turned the television on for background noise. Jake had texted earlier saying he wasn't going to be able to make it for dinner and he didn't know when he would make it back to the hotel. I guess a lot of his family were coming in and he needed to be there.
